For budget accommodation it doesn't get much better than this! I couldn't be happier with my stay at A LoFT. This accommodation is situated in the most perfect beachfront location, the standard of the rooms was great - clean, spacious, personal locker, quiet and air conditioning. The staff at A LoFT would have to be the greatest part though. Kind, caring, attentive and super helpful with planning your trip. Can't recommend enough. Thank you for a great stay!

I had such a great stay here, the house itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. The rooms are clean, bed and pillow are very comfy. The highlight was definitely the staff. I was sad due to some personal problems, and they did everything possible to see me smile again – and they succeeded! Thank you, Ajmal, for being such a lovely, patient guy. I loved trying on the lungi, I'll never forget that! Thank you, Ameer, for all the rides, amazing food and showing me places I'd never discover by myself. You guys are amazing! Best of luck on all your future endeavors :)

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Amazing hostel i stayed. This hostel has a lot of pros such as super cheap price, clean room and toilet, and accessiblity from railway station, however, above of all, hostel owner is amzingly kind and considerate. I can't forget his favor and will visit this place again.

By far it's the best hostel where I stayed in India. Extremely clean and big. We were just 3 in the room and you can chill in the rooftop or out side. The owner is so friendly and can arrange for you autorickshaw or kayaking/canoeing in backwaters. Just in front of the hostel there is a small family restaurant where I ate everyday. You mustn't miss it. Thank you for all.

Jibu is an amazing host, he really went above and beyond to show me around and help me out with everything, very kind. I definitely recommend going on the canoe tour he offers to organise, it's a much more authentic experience than going on a houseboat, and much cheaper too. The room is very spacious and clean, and great location close to the centre and the beach. Highly recommend, thank you Jibu!

The location is perfect. It's in the beach, so you'll have the best spot to chill and watch the sunset. Jay is an excellent host, he'd always be there to help me and make me feel home since the first moment. I recommend this hostel for any backpacker around Kerala. I really enjoyed my stay and didn't want to leave! It doesn't offer any meal but you're given honest recommendations of restaurants and cafés nearby. Bonus: you can get beer almost any time which is a great detail considering you're in India!

I highly recommend Saji's hostel, cheap, cozy, quiet, right by the water. Including a super delicious dinner🍚 (which his talented mother prepares:) and conversations until the night, if you only want:) Saji is so friendly , curious and helpful! Saji was very hurt by the corona and now is very excited to return to work, with a lot of good energy, happiness and excitement to receive you in the best way. Thank you Saji! And good luck with everything!🙏🌸🌱🌻✨

This is a very charming little hostel. It has a great location at the beach (a little further from the city), with some nice places to eat close by. Yet the food at the hostel is amazing! Do eat here! The roof terrace is a great place to chill and relax with a nice view of the sea. The host is a kind and light soul with a big heart and will to make your stay comfortable. Bed in the dorm is basic and comfortable enough, like the facilities.

We booked ac room by mistake but could not adjust it online. Owner really held by offering none ac. It was big help cause one of friends was sick. Also they give good advice on back eater trips. We r not big budget so he told us how to do it cheap. Also, on arrival, he greeted us very cool lemon juice, felt great coz of hot weather. We also ate pure-veg food and there was plenty of it. Overall, safe, peaceful and you could have a really nice time, had a nice chat with Johnson and seems a really nice guy, so we extended our stay as well.

It was an amazing stay at Sagar place. You feel really part of a big family with the other traveller. Sagar is helping you with your arrival/departure as Well as organising trips (we were 12 of the hostel to do the backwater trip together) and it has been an amazing time spent on a canoe and eating food in a village family, I surely recommend this place, especially for women who want to feel safe, looking for a home feeling while meeting people on the way.
