Great location. Wonderful recommendations and discounts in the area. The rooms were warm and cozy, breakfast was delicious, and the views were spectacular. The showers were also really comfortable. It's also sustainably powered so I loved it!

Great location, not far from very scenic views. The Barn is definitely a backpacker hostel and is organised as such, with shoe racks outside of each bedroom. Each bed has a place to put their luggage on and there are many coat hangers. It is well organised with many showers, toilets and sinks. I appreciated the complimentary towel. Very warm atmosphere.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Busy, but it's a great location, just a few minutes from the black sand beach and basalt columns. Fantastic sunset from there. The room was so spacious (I had a double room), and the bed was SO comfy! The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with all the appliances you'd need. Obviously, the issues of shared bathrooms...waiting for showers, etc, but overall, I highly recommend The Barn.

Great location. Hostel was nicely and tastefully designed. One of the best ones I have stayed so far. Friendly staff. Fantastic facilities. Comfortable double bunk beds. Definitely will stay again.

Maybe the best hostel i've been to. The only hostel in the world that i know of, with double size beds in the shared rooms. The design is amazing, with a great view, feels like a luxury on a budget. But most of all, great staff! they made me feel welcome and gave me some groceries when i arrived late after all supermarkets where closed. I will be back for sure.
