As usual in Sri Lanka, I've been hosted by very kind people who welcomed me with a nice and refreshing lemon juice. They'll do everything they can to make you comfortable. 10 minutes from the rock and his temple, not far from a nice lake. That's a good walk to do in early morning to be fool of good vibes and start a nice day in touch with nature. Here you can take your dinner and rent a bike, and receive good advices to plan your visits around. I had the chance to have the all dormitory for me, great !

Renting a bicycle to discover the old city, go for a swim in the lake, watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, read your book in the hammock, cook at the bonfire, enjoy nice company or have enough space to just be by yourself, watch a real life nature documentary (which is actually just the view of their garden) where you can get the chance to meet woodpeckers, monkeys, mungos, very colorful birds, lizards, squirrels, maybe even the small turtle in their pond and a looooot more - this is a space to explore nature, ceylon vibes, buddhism, good local food and much more. Besides all these things that excited me, you’ll stay at a very clean house with one 4 bed dorm, a spacious kitchen, a clean bathroom, a chilled terrace and a big garden. You can feel how much effort these guys put in creating this place, which is growing day by day. I'm very grateful that I discovered chill house hostel during my stay in Sri Lanka. It is exactly like some of the other reviews, you are staying inside the jungle or a large botanical garden! It is within walking distance from the ancient city and just an inexpensive tuk-tuk ride from the new city which you do not want to stay in. The Coco Gardens is where you want to stay!
