Everything was great. Especially, I would like to mention that they allowed us to keep our suitcases there, and when we returned, they made it possible for us to take a shower and get ready, although we were already checked out.

Featuring free WiFi, a restaurant and a barbecue, Montenegro Hostel 4U offers accommodation in Kotor.

Bike hire and kayak hire is available at the property. Budva is 17 km from Montenegro Hostel 4U, while Podgorica is 40 km away. The nearest airport is Tivat Airport, 5 km from the property.

Where to start… The location is nice, the hostel is comfortable, good mattresses, etc. But you mostly have to go there if you want to make friends and have fun. People from the hostel are so friendly and helpful and it makes this incredible atmosphere and connection between people. You can either party or not, they also have nice tours (boat, fortresses, kayaks, etc.) that I recommend you to join.

Tivat Clock Tower is 11 km away and Porto Montenegro Marina is 12 km from the hostel.

Where do i start? the beds and pillows were comfortable with an AC unit and great blankets included, our terrace overlooked the fort, the kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom was in good condition and the staff was extremely accommodating. As for the location, its like a 3 minute walk to the old town, does it get better than that!?!? I'd have to say no. 10/10 would recommend!

The property is set 10 km from Saint Sava Church, 11 km from Tivat Clock Tower and 11 km from Porto Montenegro Marina. This place was amazing. The facilities are modern/ clean, the staff is wonderful, and It is located in the center of Old Town Kotor. The mall, multiple grocery stores, a tailor (who repaired my backpack for 3 euros), the waterfront, the fortress hike, and tons of restaurants are all within a 5 min walk. Milan, Luka, and Nina went out of their ways multiple times to help me out with calling stores, getting directions, translating, etc and Pi hosted a lot of really fun events. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

There are plenty of showers, the beds are comfortable and there is a lot of space. There are not always staff around, but you can only get in with a code on the door and it feels safe. Apparently the hostel is connected to a restaurant and a cafe, but they are a bit more expensive. As a backpacker you might want to cook for yourself. The location is good, right on the water and close to the old town and the local bus station. The international bus station is a 15 min walk away. The hostel can also do the tourist registration for you.

One of the best hostels I stayed in when travelling Europe. Lovely rooms, lovely staff (djorde was especially welcoming and hardworking), had curtains which seemed to not be the usual around Europe. Great location aswell.

The hostel has great location and is based in lovely adapted porthouse. It’s nice and clean but what’s best about it are the staff - friendly, very helpful and always there if you need them. Thanks to them atmosphere is really great. I’ve been travelling with my 8yo daughter, it was her first backpacker style trip- what you need for kids in such case aren’t toys or playgrounds - they want to feel safe and welcome. And that’s exactly how she says she felt. She even said that people are so nice here she could move. 12/10
