Good location, separated sleeping areas was nice.

I am the most local boutique hostel in the world. My 21 rooms are all themed with Dutch designs that reflect Haarlem and its surroundings.
From a cozy double private room to a 14-bed dorm, I have accommodations to fit every traveler's needs. With my vintage interior design, you'll feel right at home in no time.
The double rooms upstairs are more boutique hotel than boutique hostel, apart from the whole share kitchen / lounge thing that comes with hostels. The staff are so friendly and they / the owner obviously take great pride in the hostel, it is a charming and well kept space. If most hostels were like this I'd stay in one every time. So pleased we stayed in Haarlem and not Amsterdam. You can easily visit Amsterdam for the museums etc., but in Haarlem you have the best of it without the tourist crowds.

The dormitories are well-kept and have bunk beds. Each dormitory has its own bathroom. If you would like more privacy, you may like to book a room with just 2 beds.
The hostel serves a good breakfast each morning and gives you the opportunity to make a lunch package as well at a surcharge. There is a large terrace on the waterfront where you can sit and enjoy the sun. Guests can have a drink and a chat in the accommodation's cafe The Shuffle.
I valued the friendly helpful staff team and enjoyed the garden to sit with a beer from the bar. My respect goes to encouraging people to drink tap water and not buy plastic bottles (I have cycled for 3 months through Europe and never bought bottled water - there is safe water in the tap everywhere!)
