The bar was awesome, music with not too crowded. A place where you can smoke and drink which I found to be a rare case. The beds are great and comfy and enough bathrooms to accommodate a lot of people. I slept peacefully despite for which I am very grateful coming from Koh Phangan. And a big shout out to Samui, he was such a chill host. Definetly coming back!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Tembo staff and owner Susan went above and beond to let us feel welcome. Even when we had some issues e.g. an event at the resort, and my husband 's tummy bug to solve, they soved the problems very professianally. With lots of care and compassion. We came as strangers, and left as family. Dave the mananger, left such a soft and kind mark in our hearts. He is truly an asset for all the staff and quests in this compony. Definately.... a keep sake. Look out for Dave... the brave and sure safe friend!!

Super chill hostel has a lovely outdoor area with a bar, loads of seats and different sections so can be nice to social or even be by yourself if wanted. Rob the manager was awesome, really made me feel welcome and sorted out everything and gave me some great suggestions of stuff to do. You can even use their kayak/paddle board for free l. Highly recommend!

What a gem. I haven’t done hostels in many years and at first I was overwhelmed by the dorm, but immediately you realise that this is not just every hostel. As the name suggests it is a place to chill. The common spaces, the private beach, the sub and kayak, the food, the staff and the people all made it amazing experience. Also great value for money.
