Great place to stay in a budget. I was in one of the capsule dorms ( Japanese style) I like that as if you are unlucky enough to share with inconsiderate people you can close your pod door and to a certain extent lock out the smells and noise of a shared dorm. Very helpful staff, 24 hr reception, I dropped my bags early and headed off for the day, didn’t check in until 11.30pm. Location is ok it’s on Upper West Side, surrounding areas a mix of affluence and poverty! Sited opposite Central Park and a very short walk from subway, you can be midtown or downtown in 15-20 mins. Complimentary bagel & hot drinks provided for breakfast. A very nice touch and the best hostel I’ve stayed in outside of Japan. Highly recommended. ( They will also store your luggage when you check out but I opted out of this one as I didn’t want to go into city and travel back before my flight)
