Good way to meet other travelers and connect. Highly recommend, especially for solo travelers (female also). P. S. It has air conditioner in rooms!

Ha is the best host we have probably ever had. He is an ex tour guide and you can tell that a) he knows his stuff and b) he loves what he does. He helped us plan parts of our trip both while at the hostel and after we left via text. He knows real hidden gems and will give you really relevant suggestions for your trip. I can write the whole review about how great Ha was but I'll say a thing or two about the place too. The location is good, close to bus stops, ATMs, great local street food and drinks. It's also quiet and not touristy. The hostel is clean, brand new, each dorm is lockable by pin and each bed inside the dorm had a safety box with a lock - in our dorm everyone felt safe enough to not even use the locked boxes. There is good Aircon, safe drinking water for free, and a rooftop. The breakfast is delicious, fresh and changes daily. At this point it probably sounds like a fake review but we were genuinely this impressed - if you're staying in HCM and are looking for somewhere to stay, for this money (and probably much more), I don't believe it possible to find something better than Ha's place.

It was a nice area but it was not the quietest however, that comes with a residential area. There are lots of convenient shops, good restaurants around and popular good bars around.

Absolutely great price for a very well equipped hostel. The beds were comfortable, the lockers were spacious, the bathrooms were clean and had no problems with water temperature or pressure (also free shampoo!). The location is perfect, most attractions in the city are within walking distance and there are multiple 24h minimarkets in the same block.

    Great location for a budget hotel, staff were lovely but English language was an issue. I curtailed my stay after 2 nights because there was no safebox, the staff were very apologetic but travelling with cash, cards, tablet I need the security of a safebox.

Staff are kind and friendly and breakfast is decent even if it lacks variety. No elevator but luggage can be lifted via motorized cable. Rooftop patio is an interesting space but would be better if there were an electrical outlet, a vending machine or something, as it is now its hard to justify the trip up so many stairs. Highly recommend for a budget conscious tourist!

    The hotel is in a great location, in an area full of hostels and backpackers. The hotel is very clean, and the staff was very helpful with everything, from booking daily tours to asking me if I needed anything. One day I felt sick and they offered me some fruits which was really nice. The facilities are really good and I overall really recommend it.

    The host is really friendly and very accommodating. The location is clean and the dorms have curtains. For the ridiculously cheap price you can't go wrong. There is a strong air con and additional fans, and lockable boxes for the bags under the beds. The water in the shower was hot and the hostel is in a great location.

    Right in the centre of things at 90 Le Lai and easy to find, 9 Hostel has everything the cheapskate backpacker looks for. Strong WiFi and aircon and no broken facilities. Your new go to in HCMC!

    The breakfast was not included but the banh mi served by the hostel were cheap and really good. The hostel also organizes day trips to the Mekong, Cu Chi tunnels, etc, very practical when you don't have much time. Beds confortable, wifi ok, great location.
