I really liked the privacy we had, although there were other guests we barely saw them. And our room was very clean and my daughter liked that. Also the bathroom was spacious. Let me not even get started on our hosts! They were absolutely amazing and awesome! It was our (me&my daughter) first time in Durban and they literally went out of their way to make sure we went to as many attractions as possible over the weekend, drove us around to wherever we wanted to go and took the time texplain to us what was what when we passed an historical site. Will certainly book them again when we go to Durban again.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

I Liked nothing, the apartment it’s clean and nice, but the main building it’s dirty, looks like an abundant building or hostel, it’s at 11th floor and lift it’s not working, there’s a strange bad smell in the building, windows are extremely dirty, outside building walls are extremely dirty and the facility it’s unsafe, please take it out on booking.com it’s misleading. The host had to move us to their other Fascility because we were not gonna sleep in that type of a place

The location was great and property as a whole was amazing. Pictures displayed on web/ internet showed exactly what to find there; Closer to mall and beach especially during break times one could easily move around. It is safe, fenced and locked. During my stay, it was not full at all and covid-19 protocols observed. So if you need place within budget I do recommend Durban Seaside backpackers
