Guests at HI Lake Louise Alpine Centre can relax in the common room with a fireplace and TV. A small library is available for guests to choose from, and a sauna is also available. The family room had a unique layout which was pretty cool and something special. My little niece (5 years old) liked it very much. The hostel had a firepit where they offered smores for the night we stayed there. Was a nice extra touch.

The location is so perfect with the view. Its surrounded by stream and mountains. We enjoyed the sauna. The property was clean and the host was friendly and explained everything about the stay which was clear.

Offering intermediate hiking, Rockbound Lake Trail begins 50 m away. Located between Banff and Lake Louise, this wilderness hostel is a great place. The host was very helpful as were the other visitors there. Since it's within half an hour of driving to Banff and Lake Louise it's a great spot to be in.

The place was clean and we stayed in a dorm which was really spacious. Being a small town, everything is close to downtown, just a 5min walk, so this was ideally located. Had a decent parking space as well. Overall a great experience

Such a homely hostel and always kept clean, shot out to the amazing staff, specially Sophie.

Amenities provided were more than sufficient given the price and location. Overall a great hostel. Would recommend to anyone.

Shared toilet facilities are outhouse facilities (there are no showers and no running hot water). It was waaay beyond my expectations - even though it's right next to the Icefield Parkway it gives you the feeling of remoteness and kinda going "back to the basics" - no shower, very limited internet access, in the middle of the woods, next to a beautiful river and also includes a sauna. The manager makes it even more moemorable with his dedication, passion, knowledge of the area and sense of humor ;-)
