We had an amazing stay at St. James Backpackers Hostel. The staff is incredebly lovely and welcoming. The common areas are very well equipped and incredebly spacious. Personally we really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner (we are all vegetarians) and it helped a lot staying in our budgets. The tube station Earls Court (Distict and Picadilly Line) is 5 walking minutes away. There are a Tesco Superstore and a Sainsbury in close walking distance to the Hostel.
Lovely staff who care. Nice location. Some large rooms which are convenient for a dormitory. Bunk beds that do not move too much. Good quality of food. Well cleaned and maintened and requests responded promptly and efficiently. Moreover, educated and interesting guests in general which is vital for a hostel adventure. I recommend it...
Great location, nice friendly welcome. For the price in terms of other establishments in centrtral York, it was value for money. Rooms and facilities are dated but were as expected when booking. Basic but clean with kettle in room and lots of coffee and tea available. If on a budget and you understand this is a budget establishment, it's perfect. Cheap and cheerful.
Staff were super helpful when I came over with my 4 big luggages! They have kindly offered an upgrade and arranged for my suitcases to be safely kept before and after my stay too. Overall great location in London and value for the price. Would def recommend for budget travellers !
I liked it all. The attention of the staff was excellent, the facilities were clean, comfortable and very good temperature and pressure in the showers. There was even a nice clean perfume in the corridors. The fact that it is a female-only hostel made me feel instantly comfortable and safe. The staff girls are super friendly and nice. I will definitely come back.
Everything. Absolutely outstanding and much better than expected. Exceptional value for money. Clean tidy, safe, welcoming and comfortable! Staff are lovely and very approachable. For what you pay, this place really does go above and beyond and its in a great location. Definitely going to stay again if I'm ever around in London, honestly a brilliant hostel and probably the cleanest I've ever been in, everything felt safe and hygienic to use. Keep it up!
The best hostel I've been so far! Perfect location in zone 1, close to the tube stations, very nice and safe area. The staff is very friendly.
Cheap and cheerful! The rooms are classic hostel style dorms with bunk beds, so you know what you're getting. The beds were clean. The location is great, right in the centre of town.
Great location if you're visiting Bath but if you're staying more than one night, don't go cheap. No fault of the hostel's but the six bed Room # 1was noisy, people on Green Street and other hostellers arriving late. Bath room not awful but cramped. Would try the double next time if not travelling alone.
