Killarney
Located in Killarney and with St Mary's Cathedral reachable within 300 metres, The Black Sheep Hostel provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The accommodation offers a tour desk, and luggage storage for guests. The hostel is warm and friendly, with 5 communal areas, including the large kitchen and the garden. There is always a spot to sit in without intruding or being intruded upon. The dorms are excellent. The structure of the bunkbeds with their curtains ensures great privacy. Large lockable cupboard under beds for each occupant. Every bed has its own light, light switch, socket and tiny shelf. The base of the each bed is slightly wider than the mattress, giving you storage space next to the mattress at night. Bathrooms are adequate. Showers are blissfully hot, but ingeniously save on water and heating. Breakfast is taken a step up from basic (cereal, fruit, toast) with the dailly addition of home-made soda bread. If there are any free range eggs from the resident chickens, you can make some for yourself. The kitchen has four gas cooking stations. There are shelves to store labeled food (labels provided), but also, importantly, shelves where you can leave any groceries behind on the FREE shelves. There is always pasta for free, so no-one starves here. Coffee and tea are free too at any time. Free parking is available in the car park next to the nearby cathedral. A coffee bar provides an assortment of hot drinks, which can be bought just outside the front door. The lounge has several nooks as well as books aplenty. In the best backpacker tradition, here you find creativity, open-mindedness, interesting conversation, people from all over the world, recycling and excellent organisation. Highly recommended as one of the best backpackers I have ever stayed in.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the hostel, we wished we could have stayed longer! The room was just right for the 4 of us, and we liked having a kitchen to use. The area was beautiful, more remote and surrounded by gorgeous nature. Check in and check out were very smooth, too. Delightful!

Great place to stay, I was sad to leave. Awesome facilities, nice kitchen and social dinning area. Lovely reading room with a fire and dogs for company. I felt very at home. Great location too. Nice and clean, comfortable beds with curtains for privacy. It was a lovely hostel, I would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the beautiful Killarny.
Very welcoming and one of the cheapest pints in town. It was also a bit cold but the electric blanket saved the day.
Very kind hosts and the vibe in the hostel was very cozy, easy to talk to and meet new people
It's absolutely beautiful and cozy. You can sit in a nice living room by the fire and they have a huge back yard with chickens. It's close to the city center and the bus station where bus coaches will drop you off. You can walk to Ross Castle in 40 minutes and into the Nationalpark. The rooms are big and you have privacy with curtains. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the two dogs are absolutely adorable. The showers and bathrooms are clean. Best hostel I ever stayed at.
Cheap hostel in the heart of Killarney town. Very basic but you get what you pay for.
Best hostel ever. Cozy and warm place to stay at. Nice living room, big kitchen and good breakfast!! You can also rent a bike to make a day trip in the nationalparc.
