I can’t fault a thing! Would happily stay again, and recommend to friends Accommodation is extremely spacious! We had a great view of the mountains from the room, and great location for driving up to Trolltunga in the morning. Bathroom and kitchen well spaced out and provisioned, with on site parking. Possibility to charge an electric car for an additional fee.

At Ullensvang Gjesteheim, all rooms have a seating area, desk and wash basin. Some rooms have a private bathroom with shower. Shared showers and toilets are located in the hallway. We had a perfect stay in the guesthouse. The rooms are spacious, and the Thai food in the local restaurant is fantastic. The staff was exceptionally helpful, they gave us recommendations and even helped us get back to the guesthouse when we were stranded some villages away due to an avalanche. We highly recommend a stay here.

Voss is 52 km from Hardanger Basecamp, while Myrkdalen is 72 km from Hardanger Basecamp. Flåm is 112 km away from the hostel. We stayed in a yurt for two nights. The interior was extremely cosy and everything was lovingly decorated. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain during our stay so we could not do too many activities outside. Instead we taught the kids how to make a fire, we had excellent camp meals and at night cuddled in the (heated) yurts with our fluffy blankets. Pancake breakfast was an extraordinary experience in the little café, especially for the children. Overall highly recommended.

The dormitory rooms have access to a shared kitchen and shared bathroom. This stay was perfect for hiking Trolltunga. There is a bus stop with Trolltunga-shuttle just outside (stop E). It has everything you need but bare bones, definitely more of a budget stay but well kept and lovely people.

Room has a great view of crystal clear water and beautiful mountains, a picture postcard view. Breakfast was great and more than what one expects for a hostel.
