This accommodation was very clean and had a great kitchen, with all kitchenware necessary. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of vegetarian options. It was also great having a sink in our room. It's a lovely place, very close to the local church and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay around Svolvaer.

All of Bogen Hostel's rooms have fjord views, while some also include a kitchenette, TV and seating area. Clean and big rooms with beautiful views from the bed. Couldn't get enough from the stay, we didn't feel like checking out of the hostel. Waking up to the sound of the waves was the best thing.

Arrived with the ferry from Bodø to Moskenes and decided to stay in Å for the night to start our Lofoten trip at the southern point. Authentic old rorbu house in the middle of Å. We were skeptical towards shared bathrooms but were pleasantly surprised. They were very clean. In fact, the one we used as a family has not been used, and the facility was fully booked. It is very nice to have a mutual understanding and respect of spaces when shared with others. We got to see the catch of the day from a group that just returned from a fishing trip, which was very exciting for our little one. See fish being gutted, seagulls swarming the area, and crabs fighting on the ocean bed below in the crystal clear water. The room was spacious and had a sink, which was a plus, so one could wash their face and brush teeth in the morning.
