Prince Albert Backpackers is a 5-minute walk from Nelson. It is a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. It is a 5-minute drive from Trafalgar Park and a 15-minute drive from Nelson Airport. Close to town centre but far to the beach, but there is a bus number 4 which you can take. Nice rooms with small privat room with glas door so you have a nice view to the backyard/lobby of this hostel and therefore always light (there are curtains to cover). Everyday there is a cleaning service.

Guests can choose between private and dormitory rooms, most with access to shared bathroom facilities. Secure lockers, luggage storage and bicycle storage are available. The hostel also offers mountain and city bikes for hire. I like that my room was private. Comfortable bed and amenities. Physical key 🗝️ to the room. Staff is able to book trips, entertainment, and transportation. Laundry is good.

The friendly staff can provide advice on local attractions. Tasman Bay Backpackers Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Nelson city centre and Nelson Bus Depot. This is a beautiful backpackers! So friendly and warm, very homely. The staff were awesome and they have done so well to create a family feel within the backpackers. Its hard not to socialise in this place even as an introvert. An easy place to force yourself to talk to others even when not in the mood because of the friendly environment. Would 100% recommend a stay, its not too far a walk into the town centre. Be sure to stay in for the evenings as they bake an amazing chocolate pudding ever evening for guests. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Staff were nice and helpful, location was convenient, everything was clean and comfortable.
