We Hate F Tourists

Lisbon City Centre, Lisbon

Popular points of interest near the hostel include Commerce Square, Miradouro da Senhora do Monte and St. George's Castle. The nearest airport is Humberto Delgado, 6 km from We Hate F Tourists, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. This is the best hostel that I have come across during all my 5 other trips, and I have stayed here for 6 days,it was so amazing everyday! Most of all, it's because of the people. To start off, Clei and Poly is so welcoming, energetic and you can ask them any questions, they will be happy to help out. This place is also where all the people talk and hang out together, you can be sure everyone just smile and say hello and that's what it takes to keep the conversation going and end up spending the day together! The hostel also have a bomb rooftop view, which I absolutely love and they also offered pub crawl, tours and other activities. 10/10!

Yes Lisbon Hostel

Baixa / Chiado, Lisbon

This hostel has wooden floors and furnishings in its offer of mixed and female-specific dormitories, as well as private double rooms. All have access to shared bathroom facilities, with some units having a bathroom inside the room. The rooms all include air conditioning. All female dorm room was surprisingly large. It was the first hostel that we had a shared table in the middle and our own private bathroom. Each bed also had a private space to store valuables which was a nice bonus. Needless to say this hostel exceeded our expectations

Home Lisbon Hostel

Baixa / Chiado, Lisbon

Rossio is 400 metres from the property, while the São Jorge Castle is 800 metres away and the lively Bairro Alto area is 1.2 km away. The nearest airport is Lisbon Portela Airport, 7 km from Home Lisbon Hostel, and can be easily accessed by metro. All of it! As a solo traveller and first time to Portugal I wasn't sure if I should stay in a hostel or in a hotel... If you have the same uncertainty: the best thing you can do is choose the hostel!! I doubted how a hostel could actually be this highly rated... But it's actually justified! 4 to 5 days is prefect in Lisbon. The location is perfect and with respect to the various districts. All the staff are super friendly and always available for travel tips. One one night I joined Mamma's dinner, delicious and fun! The dorm rooms are clean, and quiet. When idling around, enjoy a beer at the bar. And of course the 5 Euro breakfast is rediculous value for money... Plus a good way to interact with other travellers too. A 247 desk is super useful too. The hostel offers 2 tours: a walking tour through Lisbon, and you just leave a tip at the end. Do this and not any paid tours! The tour to Sintra I would not suggest... Do this solo.

Lisbon Surf Hostel

Carcavelos

Lisbon Surf Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Carcavelos. Boasting a sun terrace and a private beach area, this property is situated near attractions such as Carcavelos Beach, Parede Beach and Praia do Moinho. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, an ATM and organising tours for guests. Everything. Most importantly the great team of staff members and volunteers who provide support whenever you need it. While the volunteers are mainly great for the vibe inside the hostel and among guests, the founding team provides extraordinary support in regards to surf spots (how to approach them, when to go there, what to be careful with, etc.), traveling Lisbon and the area around. I have even seen some of them giving language support to a language student who was studying. You can book theoretical and practical surf classes with local legends from Carcavelos. This place is as close to perfection as it gets. Seriously, if you want to stay in the Lisbon area and explore not only downtown Lisbon but the area around as well, go here. The place is located in the perfect spot, close to public transport, with easy highway access, the beach not even 5 minutes away... Everything was clean and well-maintained, it is obvious that some passionate people put all their heart into this project. Here you will not feel like in one of these hostel factories that have popped up all over the globe, where young guests get put into a cheap location for cheap money. However, it is the contrary. Some young and nice locals fulfil their own dream to run a hostel - and they live that dream to the fullest. Have never been welcomed to a surfspot with such warmth and care. Thank you for everything, we will meet again soon!
