Kitchen and good outside sitting area. Very friendly receptionist at bowling (due to my error I first bothered the vietnamese restaurant staff one floor above) Toilet, shower very clean. They give big towel. Good wifi. Top location.

Hostel Turist is situated in a quiet part of Zvolen town, only 500 metres from the D1 highway and a 5-minute walk to the town centre. The nearest bus station is reachable within 100 metres and the Main Train Station is set 1 km away. Around 12 minutes walk from the bus and train stations this is an excellent option for value for money tidy accommodation. The river is a few minutes away for a walk/run and there are supermarkets nearby for food shopping (since there are no local markets any more this is the alternative). Spacious room for 1 person but even for 3 it would be comfortable. Staff really lovely - all in all ideal for what I needed for the working week.

New, clean. Fully, fully equipped (to an unprecedented extent). Attention to many details, very well thought and designed to be comfortable and better than expected on so many things. Even coffee grains prepared for the automatic machine, and tablets for the dishwasher. In front of the police station so you can feel safe in that street. Plenty of space in hidden wooden cupboards. Very comfortable bed. We will repeat as soon as we come back to Brezno.

Everything was clean and confortable. Our room had a seperate entrance hall so added a layer of sound proofing. Host was professionsl and patient plus served a decent breakfast. Breakfast from a selection of 6 pre order and was totally adequate.

Nice people, great location with comfortable parking - in the evenings beeing surrounded just by silence and sounds of nature on one hand, on the other hand so close to the city center. Upon arrival, someone could be confused by the road and the look of the building from the outside. But inside - just wow - Very well and nicely designed with genius loci of the history preserved ( I guess it used to be a school in the past).

I studied in Banská Bystrica and I am regularly coming back to the city. The hostel is an ideal facility for groups of friends or solo travelers, located very good in the city centre, also for very good price. Also WiFi was working good. The facilities were ok and clean, the value for money is good. After my stay I got directly call from the owner checking if everything was fine - I really appreciate that. Next time Im in Bystrica, I will most probably stay there again.

The apartment was exceptional, very spacious, immaculately clean, great location, handy for trains, buses, taxis etc. The hosts Miriam and Peter were outstanding, very communicative, friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. Will definitely be back.

Great location, we had a (too) large room with shared bathroom, that was not in optimal shape, but better more quiet then the rest of the hostel. We didn't use the public a/shared areas and facilities.

The hostel is located 2 minutes walking from the city center which is amazing considering how cheap the rooms are. We spent a night with some friends and we would definitely visit Gran hostel again.
