This place really exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a dorm. The beds were super comfortable and cozy. The whole space is enormous and quiet. Felt like you were staying in a fancy home. The facilities were impeccable and super clean. Staff were very helpful. The reception is located inside the bowling alley up the street, which is awesome. I would definitely stay here again! Incredible value, especially for the area.

Hostel Skautský dom is set in a historic building in the UNESCO-protected town of Banská Štiavnica, next to the Old Castle. It offers a garden with a terrace, playground and barbecue facilities. Free WiFi is provided. So calm and peacefull. It is modest, but approperoate to price. Clan, with helfull staff.

This 3-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and luggage storage space. The property is non-smoking and is located 20 km from Zvolen Castle. Very clean and quiet, I slept very well there. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals, the bathroom is clean and spacious and the hostel could not be more central, literally 30 yards from the main square.

Hostel Turist is situated in a quiet part of Zvolen town, only 500 metres from the D1 highway and a 5-minute walk to the town centre. The nearest bus station is reachable within 100 metres and the Main Train Station is set 1 km away. Around 12 minutes walk from the bus and train stations this is an excellent option for value for money tidy accommodation. The river is a few minutes away for a walk/run and there are supermarkets nearby for food shopping (since there are no local markets any more this is the alternative). Spacious room for 1 person but even for 3 it would be comfortable. Staff really lovely - all in all ideal for what I needed for the working week.
