Amazing location, beautiful nature, gorgeous lake and the mountains offered perfect walking tours. Local people were nice too :) The centre of the city is small and pretty, many pubs with great wine and food. The location as well as the nature were well taken care off and clean. Totally worth visiting: Observation tower Kulmspitz We will for sure come back to explore more.

We were before Christmas, and at this time it is definitely worth going to this city for half a day! The center is small, but very nice, there is a small Christmas market, mostly with food, a very beautiful Basilica, and of course, the lake itself deserves a walk to it. They have the best church around the area, St Gilgen, St Wolfgang, Bad Ischl, etc. we were there last Sunday of 2019 and there were choir singing and the sound of the huge organ above the main entrance is just so perfect. Very good mass I have ever experienced, so quiet and solemn. The town itself is small, no restaurants and shops open on a Sunday.ElenaGermany

The food was incredible and they were very accommodating to our dietary needs. The generous breakfast spread was very tasty. The staff were incredibly nice and couldn’t do enough for us. The spa was very special on the top floor over looking the lake. This place was a little slice of paradise! Highly recommend- 10/10!

There are rooms with street view and rooms with lake view. Due to the upgrade I had a room with balcony and lake view which makes nice photos and invites for relaxing. For the price it's a really good value. Staff is very friendly. Parking is available on the street and nearby paid parking lots.
