A superb house in a fantastically peaceful location. The house was very clean and tidy and provided everything needed for our, all too brief stay. Just wish we had stayed longer.

Anglesea is a stunning beachside town about an hour from Melbourne and half an hour form Geelong. The beach is the absolute draw card which means the town can get particularly busy during Summer and peak holidays times such as long weekends. Anglesea has an abundance of different beaches and walking tracks as well as a range of native animals and birds. There are a range of coffee shops, gift shops, restaurants a supermarket, pub and bowls and surf club all within walking distance.

    A quiet sleepy place.

A quiet sleepy place. More of a stopover (which is what we used it for) than a destination. However, I can imagine that it would be good for surfers. The beach was beautiful, but the water was cold. Does the 'Southern Ocean' ever get warm? (we visited in Feb)

Anglesea is a very special gem of a place at the beginning of the Great Ocean Road. There are so many things to do - golf and kangaroo tours with drinks or dinner afterwards; stunning beach walks; great dining at Love House in the Surf Club with million dollar views and good shopping in the town centre. Fortunately, having a relaxing and affordable time in Anglesea isn’t restricted by the weather. All it’s missing is a bookshop. But at least there are a number of excellent coffee offerings.

This is a neat comfortable well positioned simple motel.

This is a neat comfortable well positioned simple motel. The swimming pool desperately needs some kind of shade and furniture - nothing whatever to sit on. Plus some hooks in the bathroom please! We strongly recommend d the nearby Coast restaurant for an excellent meal.

The open beach, the saltwater creek running into the ocean, the cafes in the Anglesea village, easy to walk/cycle around so don't need a car once you arrive there, boat hire in river, disappointing that tourist office always closed.

Anglesea is a lovely and relaxing holiday/weekend destination for locals and travelers. Great beaches, trails, food and coffee and shopping options, well stocked supermarket and fruit shop, 2 bakeries and restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights, 4 days, and had a wonderful time, despite cold/windy weather most of the time.

Loved the retro charm of this unrenovated but very well designed, lovingly appointed older style home. Two bathrooms are a winner for small groups of adults travelling together; my parents had their own 'wing' comprising a spacious master bedroom with views and a walk-through wardrobe area leading to the en suite. Two other bedrooms, a bathroom and WC at the other end of the house afford privacy as well as comfort. The deck is an absolute winner with views of Anglesea's main beach.

Location is excellent being directly behind Anglesea shops & within walking distance of all local attractions. Reasonably spacious with all of the home comforts one could hope for. Beds were comfortable, bathroom functional & clean throughout the property with the kitchen having everything one needs if self-catering. Use of the garage was handy as well. Plenty of storage for clothes & bags.

The location is excellent for access to many of the highlights of Anglesea - a short three block walk that is relatively flat to the back beach; a short drive to the golf course; an even shorter walk to the riverfront. Also, the back courtyard is a sun trap and there is lovely landscaping with an umbrella. The shower is clever with a walk in and the kitchen got out is high spec.

Nicely refreshed 70s motel. The rooms are small but the paint job and refits are pleasant and pretty good, given this motel is in walking distance of Anglesea shops and across the road from the beach/estuary. Typical 70s size room with a table and two chairs plus bed.

It's a great park for families with kids young and old. There is plenty to do at the park, and it's a short walk to the Anglesea shops. The cabins are clean and well maintained. We are definitely coming back!
