This was perfect for two couples on our one-night stopover along the country route from the Gold Coast to Sydney. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and helpful and provided everything that we needed, including generous breakfast supplies. We enjoyed wandering around the farm and meeting the animals.

Judy was a great host showing us around the farm and making us feel welcome, as did the friendly dogs. A lovely quiet place with no traffic noise at all. It was great to see all the different animals and I especially liked the alpacas. So kind in baking bread for us and providing food from the farm (eggs, pumpkin, herbs). So helpful in finding us a local tow truck guy, when the car broke down too. It was a real treat having a log fire each night.

Stanthorpe is probably Queesnslands best Wine District producing some good wines..They produce wine of many varieties and there is something for everyone. There are some cheese producing properties and some that produce many of the local Jams and spreads. They have a unique Winery on the northern area of Stanthorpe that produces a huge variety of fruit and desert wines along with a distillery and a brewery to cater for all palates. Personally if the Motels and various accommadation places want to charge expensive fee then they need to start to upgradse their premises. A difference of $60 for similar rooms from Warwick to Stanthorpe is a lot.MichaelAustralia - 10Scored 10

Relaxing holiday for families who enjoy outdoors. Close to Girraween National Park, and a beautiful walk along the river through the middle of town. The Christmas Tree Farm is an enchanting place to visit at any time of the year. We have been to Stanthorpe a few times and love being in a country town away from the city for a while. Food is great! Whether eating at a pub or a local restaurant you’ll get a lovely meal that is great value for money too. The wineries and boutique food producers are fun places to go to as well. It is impossible to say no to a lot of their products - we couldn’t anyway! There is a museum there but we’re saving it for the next time we visit.😊

We love Stanthorpe. Must do restaurants -Anna's, Varias - School of Wine and Tourism, Steak House, Zest Pastries. Don't miss the apple pie and juice at Suttons. So much more to see and do. Need lots of time to soak it all up.

A widespread choice of activities related to wine and fruit and cheese but with disparate activities such as breathtaking National Park walks within a short drive, a fantastic Christmas Farm that is definitely worth a visit and an overall selection of top shelf dining experiences but with all tastes catered for. The Granite Belt Brewery had incredibly good food, the cheeses were outstanding, as our cool bag can attest. We will be back, and soon, as there is so much more to see. Stanthorpe and surrounds are just lovely (especially in the cooler months) with food and wine tours, art and crafts, antiques and more. People are friendly and there is lots to see. Locals even recommended other towns and points of interest to visit (like Warwick and Tenterfield), markets and places to explore. Girraween National Park, Donnelly’s Castle are great spots to check out the massive and precarious boulders - a spectacular natural feature of the area. Cafe at Ballandean St Jude’s Cellar Door and Bistro made a delicious Sunday breakfast - busy with locals, bike riders, and visitors alike (quite busy). Tried to get into a couple of restaurants in Stanthorpe town but they were booked out (Anna’s Italian Restaurant came recommended, but we missed out)! Have been back to the region over they years and always find something new to see or do… but also enjoy returning to some favourite spots.MeganAustralia

Julie made it very cosy with all the little touches, beautiful cosy blankets to snuggle into, lots of extras in the kitchen and plenty of local tips. Easy walking distance to the Main Street. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we left our iPad there and she’s organised express post to return it for us.

We saw wallabies, rosellas, native geckoes and other wildlife just outside our cabin. The cabin itself is cosy and comfortable, with everything you need (except a sink at the kitchenette to wash dishes, but that wasn't an issue for a short stay).
