Our hostess Sally, has put together a very cosy, comfortable, romantic Parisian room together with great taste. Very large and comfortable bed, all the amenities you could possibly need. Great support if in need, prompt, friendly, professional and persistent. Great location, made getting around Lorne and beach very easy.
Carpark guaranteed.

Lorne is a lovely place to stay, The beach is clean and good for swimming, and lovely to walk along in the evening. There are plenty of shops to look at, and a good variety of cafes, casual dining and restaurants to choose from. You can access all of Lorne without needing the car. There is a range of stunning walks that can be reached either by foot or by car, with a choice of difficulty ranging from stroller friendly to strenuous.

This was our first visit to Lorne and we were impressed from the moment we drove into town. It is bigger and more modern than we pictured, but not over-developed and certainly not crowded. The town is reminiscent of south-east Queensland, without the heat and humidity. The beach is perfect for young families: a gentle gradient and waves for all ages. There were too many eateries for our three-day stay – one of the main reasons we'll return. Ipsos Restaurant is extremely popular all day long, however, we walked in without a reservation. Captain Hooked fish and chips is well worth a repeat. The locally made Gelato is smooth and packed with flavour. Erskine Falls and Sheoak Falls provide opportunity for manageable bursts of exercise away from the beach, with a nice reward at the end, contrasting abundant tree ferns of the temperate rainforest with sea-side bracken. Short drives to Aireys Inlet and Anglesea afford further opportunities to experience the Great Ocean Road and expand the tourist options on offer with lighthouse tours, canoeing and surf lessons.

Very pricey. Mostly friendly people.
Very pricey. Mostly friendly people. Had a miserable start to our stay our accommodation was horrible. We arrived and there was no one at reception. There was a sign up saying to ring a number which we did and it wouldn’t connect. Tried the door and it opened. There was a man inside who wasn’t much help. It was just horrible. Very unsettling. Very poor place to stay. 😞

The water views in Lorne were my favourite of all the little towns and villages along the Great Ocean Road. The scenery was beautiful. Lorne has lots of options when it comes to eating out. We had a fantastic dinner at the Lorne Hotel. I would have liked to spend a little more time in Lorne.
Perfect winters getaway. I have been visiting Lorne for years and didn’t even know about these amazing cottages. It was so lovely to be up in the trees looking back over Lorne. The cottage was great. Had everything we needed and more. But the icing on the cake was the staff, the gentleman running the accommodation was amazing. Made us feel right at home and relaxed as soon as we arrived. Making sure we had his mobile if we needed anything. Just the cosy relaxing weekend we needed. Thanks heaps.
The room could easily house at least two more people as there were two single beds unused during our stay. Size-wise, it's definitely big enough for two people, and perhaps two children comfortably.
Location-wise, it's a short walk/drive from the main street of Lorne, so super convenient.
The bed was clean, and comfortable. Medium to medium-firm support.
The house is dirty needs professional cleaners, the bed is uncomfortable the bathroom and toilet is old could be a lovely place needs updating and cleaning the driveway is dangerous .pet friendly house but there is rat poison left out side where a dog can get it .over all location is good but I would be embarrassed to charge people money to stay there
The location was perfect, right next to the shops so it was easy to walk to any of the cafes and restaurants on the main strip. It was also very close to the main beach in Lorne - we could hear the waves from our room. The treat left for us was very welcome, and the pod coffee machine was much appreciated.
The location is beautiful, back off the beach a bit but elevated and nice views out the front. And lorne is a beautiful place. The house was obviously very upmarket in its day. TV's in every room, the couches are very comfortable and the place has everything you need like a home away from home.
Hotel room very nice! Right opposite lorne beach. Beautiful food at the bistro. Bistro was one of the most happening and lit place in Lorne. Very comfortable stay. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Bath products included everything, even a dental kit.
Even though I didn’t get to see my host or any staff I loved my stay at Bayview Motel the room was perfect, lovely and clean, it was lovely and quiet and so close to the Lorne Hotel and shops I will definitely be back one day 🤗 thankyou
Dinner at Larder was great with attentive staff. The location is ideal for families with beach and pool options as well as being close to the Lorne shops. The staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be in the circumstances.
The location of the hotel, the comfort of the room & the size of the room was really good.
Perfect location as you are on the Main Street of Lorne, walking distance to the beach, cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.
Location is lovely, kids had a great time with no wifi or internet access. the walk to Cumberland falls is great and a short drive to Lorne. the deluxe cabins were clean and well appointed, we stay in basic cabin
We loved the place. It was so comfortable and homely. We especially loved the decor. The location is perfect, a very short walk to Lorne Beach, restaurants and cafes. I would definitely stay here again.
Great place for our family group. Overall suited our purpose very well with nice views and living areas. All enjoyed the house. Very dog friendly. Collingwood AFL ornaments were depressing, LOL.
We stay in Lorne one weekend every year during the football season and these are apartments are conveniently located for the football and to the local shops, as well as being generous in size
The serenity of the park was great. We saw a koala in one of the trees. The view from the cabins of the cliff edge and river was beautiful and the access the Jebbs pool was great too.
The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The house had a great living and dining space and the deck was great for the group and looking out over Lorne
Perfect location directly opposite the beach and cafes and shops just outside the motel.
Great stop for two nights to use as a base to explore around Lorne.
