We were given unit 2 which has the biggest outdoor balcony. We enjoyed it very much. Had korean BBQ on our second night. We hardly need to use the heating or electric blanket, the apartment is warm and cosy. There was a cute koala holding on the tree next door.
Located across Apollo Bay’s main beach, BIG4 Apollo Bay Pisces is 1.5 km from the town centre and the Tourist Information Centre.

I loved the hidden beach behind the town.
I loved the hidden beach behind the town. Its a drive away from the 12 apostles, waterfalls etc, but its still a great place to stay and look around for a bit. It was super calm and quiet but there were also streets full of people and cafees.

The beach walk is excellent and you can watch, or join in with, the surfers. There is also a very nice golf course near the marina.
If you want yo bbq there are plenty of places to just set up and go with the bbq’s ready to go.
The shops are good and the restaurants are very nice.
The town is also home to the Southern most pub in Sustralia, where you can get a very nice meal.

Went in mid Feb and it wasn’t too busy which was great. Can get cold and windy so bring some warm clothes! Lovely beach and relaxed town. Chris’s Restaurant was fantastic as a fine dining option and just a short drive away.

The location is good and close to the beach.
The location is good and close to the beach. However, the facilities lack maintenance and rooms have broken furnitures ( pictures annexed) our toilet had a large spider net in the window (inside).
Nobody showed up despite through booking email confirmation.
Not worth it. Happy to provide more details.

Beautiful beaches - be sure to walk along Marengo beach.
Beautiful beaches - be sure to walk along Marengo beach. Day trippers make lunchtime busy in town. Great fish & chips, oysters, scallops & crayfish at harbour (10% surcharge on weekends!). Good fresh fish and yummy seafood starters at fish shop. Good Italian.

Added extra day before Public Holiday (aust day) for extra day travel time.
Beach and Rain forest surprises. Good restaurants (Casalinga) for dine in or pizza. (Georges also did good pizza) Bakery gets busy esp Sundays - I know bc we went every day for 3 days. Took picnic rolls from there to Redwoods. Fishermans Co-op was too busy, but good place to walk around AB Harbour. AB Hotel (near bakery) ok meal, helpful staff, free music great Saturday night. Very casual in AB. Great views from Marriners Look out, easy walk for everyone- except dogs. Did not realize there were so many walks (NOT Hikes) possible if not much beach weather. We will come back to complete those walks & views we did not get to.
Clean and comfortable motel, centrally located within walking distance to Apollo Bay town centre. Had minimal interactions with staff, but found them to be particularly pleasant and helpful upon check-in. Very lucky to have had complimentary breakfast included at a nice little cafe down the road. The food there was delicious and staff equally as pleasant.
Would highly recommend Sandpiper Motel when travelling to Apollo Bay for a few days of relaxation.
Nothing as we did not stay at the property because they had double booked and in spite of us having booked this hotel in November 2022 they would not accommodate us at the hotel. Other guests were arriving and being accommodated but we were told they had arranged different accommodation for us. This accommodation was at the back of a house. There was nothing to like about this property or the treatment we received
Stayed for long weekend as a family of 4, kids age 8 &10. Great cheap and cheerful typical YHA experience. Bunk room comfy, shared bathrooms clean, good kitchen and lounge facilities. It's not a luxury hotel but a great alternative to staying in more expensive self catering accommodation when you're mostly going to be out and about. Kids felt welcome.
The house was very comfortable & all the facilities that we needed were there. Moreover each of the bedrooms were very comfortable & the beds were first-rate. I also liked the fact that the house was not too close to the main centre of Apollo Bay but not too far away that it prevented you from walking down to the main shopping area.
The motel was in the perfect location! It's across the road from the main beach in Apollo Bay and on the main street. We were able to walk to dinner, check out the local shops and visit the beach easily. The rooms were very clean, obviously looked after well and the staff were really nice.
very clean and with such an awesome view, awesome house to accomodate a winter stay as well considering the weather, very very nice stay, had access to some fresh lemons from the lemon tree in the backyard as well which was nice, only a 3 minute drive to apollo bay town and beach
The location is absolutely stunning. Unobstructed views of the city and the bay at Apollo Bay. We also had a couple of interactions with the on-site personnel...Natasha and Paul....who were helpful and very accomodating.
Nice spacious cabin with a view and sounds of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay here very much as it was a convenient location for exploring the Great Ocean Road and near enough to Apollo Bay town Centre for restaurants.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the town center. Check-in was smooth and fast. Room was clean and spacious, has all the facilities that we needed. Will stay again if we come back.
How it was close it was to the beach & main street. Will stay again next time we come to Apollo Bay. Kids liked that tv had Nextflix. Everything was cleaned & well presented. Lovely Motel.
There was no breakfast provided by the motel but staff recommended an excellent Cafe in the main street of Apollo Bay.
Location was within walking distance of stores, restaurants etc.
