One of my favourite places to visit!
One of my favourite places to visit! I live in the city (Perth) and not nearly enough people are as friendly and conversational as they are in Margaret River. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and you’re surrounded by nature.
You must visit the Margaret River Chocolate Company, Wow Illusions, and the Margaret River Sweet Shop. And make sure to stop in at Cowaramup on the way through!
Some of the roads are a little iffy, but majority have either been updated or are getting updated as we speak.

Beautiful scenery and wilderness to explore.
Beautiful scenery and wilderness to explore. Incredible wineries, breweries and a great distillery to check out. Excellent food options, and unbelievable coastal vistas. Go bush walking, enjoy the beach!
Only downside is things can be a bit pricier than in a big city - ie: groceries, meals out etc. But that's a fairly minor complaint, and something to be expected.

This is a lovely town, but be aware it really exists just because of tourism. The vast majority of shops are there to support that, so gift shops aplenty! It’s worth a visit for an afternoon, or stay there, or locally, as a base, but in itself is rather limited.

The apartment was so liveable. Comes with parking, a tennis court, pool and sauna. It’s well set out and set up. We didn’t need anything because the kitchen had every appliance along with dishwashing and laundry liquid, towels etc. The toaster broke and was replaced within an hour. The location was excellent. The River hotel next door has a bottle shop. We ate a few really good meals there from a diverse menu. Seemingly sound proof, decent beds, spotlessly clean and handy to Margaret River Central. Excellent value.
The location was perfect for us just 5 mins from Margaret river and close to things we wanted to explore. The retreat was quiet and peaceful except the kookaburras 🤣 our view from our deck hot tub was over the lake was beautiful. Our chalet was far enough away from the other ones so we felt that we had privacy. Staff were helpful but not intrusive. Altogether a wonderful few days away.
Great place to stay. The 1 Bedroom chalet was awesome. Nice and quiet accomodation in a forest setting. We loved sitting on our patio with a glass of wine and having a BBQ in the evening. Other chalets were far enough away to not notice any neighbours. Margaret River Distillery was just a short walk at bottom of the property with great gin and whiskey to taste.
Wilderness House is in a perfect location, not far from Margaret River township, set amongst beautiful Australian bush. With wrens busy in the garden, the bunny's and parrots create a peaceful setting. Gayles' breakfast is devine and certainly substantial. Gayle knowledge of the area certainly makes navigating the many things to do in the area easy.
I like everything, Highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was nothing less than fabulous, and the staff were amazing. The bed was amazing and the room was stunning with a huge living space, the only negative was we only had 5 nights there! We loved Margaret River. The food in the River Restaurant was also delicious. Thank you for your service
nice secluded place, just on the mouth of Margaret river, you would think you were somewhere else with the vegetation around the property, great location, just a short walk from the center, to the bakery and cafe, great communication from the host and family room recommended for families
Our cabin was quite comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is a short distance from the main part of town which was no bother for us. Staff was friendly, check in was seamless. It was a great place for us to stay while visiting Margaret River and the environs.
The size of the apartment, unique layout, surrounded by nature and animals and seclusion from neighbours. Easy login to the wifi and use of the spa. Close to Margaret River town and Prevally/Gracetown. Primo spot to get around.
Park is really well located to Margaret River township.
The river walks in front of the park are lovely.
Laundry is well fitted out.
check in and check out was fast and easy.
Nice small balcony on front of chalet.
The cottage is super cozy and the location is just 5 min drive from Margaret River City center. The place is so quiet and isolated yet equipped with everything we need. We could see so many kangaroos from our cottage.
Beautiful house with plenty of room and space. Everything needed is provided. Very modern, comfortable and clean. Great location just a short walk to the main street of Margaret River. Would highly recommend.
I like the vibe of the house very much my style
We were only in Margaret river for one night so wasn’t in the house for long but I would very much like to book it again with some friends
The hotel is cute, the surroundings are beautiful and the room was really big and confortable.
The location is perfect, easy to go for a walk or to Margaret River Town.
