Everything about the cottage was sensational, the secret attic was the cutest.
The host herself was very kind, friendly and very generous in making our stay unforgettable.
We will return to this lovely cottage and for a longer stay. Couldn't get enough of the natural beauty surroundings and its become our most favorite place in the beautiful dandenong ranges.

We loved the location of this place as it was central, we loved that it was hidden from the main road and had such beautiful surroundings and views!
The houses were all spread out so you had complete privacy from others also staying there. We loved the open fire and free breakfast vouchers!
The host was super friendly and helpful going out of their way to help us when needed and quick to reply via phone, we appreciated this a lot.
The outside spa was clean and relaxing! The outside of it needed a bit of a clean and so did the umbrella above just from the leaves falling from the trees. All functions worked just not the light setting.

We loved the shops in Olinda and Sassafras just down the road. Easy walking, sitting in the sun at Dudley’s having a wine was relaxing. The trees and the beautiful Dandenong botanical gardens were amazing. It is like a little haven just out of Melbourne, all the people working in shops are so friendly it is just such an awesome little town.
Because it is so incredible it is getting really busy on weekends.

The townships of Sassafras and Olinda offer many quirky and artistic shopping and dining experiences. Alternatively you can have a typical aussie bush experience. The many massive gardens in the area are a must. The Alfred Nicholas Gardens are great any time and the Botanic gardens rhododendrens are sensational in season. The area along the Tourist road and out to Kallista is beautiful.
I highly recommend a visit to this area.

The place was picked by the photos and they were out if date . The spa wasn't the same as the picture. And my wife is a invalid so the spa was very difficult to use for her as the height was very dangerous. It clearly isn't the photo which was advertised. Also there was no area for standing outside if it rained no cover at all. Also very noisy being down stairs can hear constant noises. The breakfast was good and the place is warm. It's clean but it's less then the pictures are discibing .

At first they seemed nice, but when we walked into the back in a dark (what seemed to be a garage or something, messy paper work everywhere) we just brushed it off and we regret not looking at the place before paying the remaining money.
When she showed us around she pointed out all the faulty appliances that we shouldn't be using, she asked my husband if he was a handyman and how she gets some of her guest to help her 'fix' the place up. Even if my husband is a handyman we are on our anniversary getaway, we came there to relax not work.
The handle of the sliding door (which is basically your main entrance) is broken and anyone can break in literally with a ruler, no security at all.
When we saw the bathroom she told us that she took 3 light bulbs out and only left us with 1, when we asked why she replied "because guest leave the lights on when they go out".
It was so dusty and dirty, when we rocked up the towels were on the oil heater cause they weren't dried and ready for us, the towel rack broke while she was showing us around. The bed sheets didn't look clean nor did they smell clean, we saw some bed bugs on the bed and this put us off straight away.
We booked the Deluxe Suite with Spa Bath, there was no balcony or mountain view for us. I believe that as guest we deserve to have a clean, comfortable and secure environment to stay in especially when we are paying $320 a night.
We didn't end up staying at any of the 2 nights that we booked, We were so disappointed and outraged so we just went back home.
We did call and try to compromise to get half our money back but they didn't return any of our calls or messages
Absolutely the worst way to end our anniversary getaway!!!!

Couldn't visit gardens or national parks - most closed due to damage from wild weather - however, normally these are lovely to visit.
The villages along the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road can get quite crowded on weekends, so if you can visit during the week, it will be more peaceful.
there are plenty of food options around, including some good 'country pubs'.
Brilliant! It felt like we were in Europe - what a gorgeously decorated hotel. The hospitality of the owner was extraordinary and warm. The room was cozy, and spacious, and perfect with it's own little balcony! Very convenient, but feels private as you turn off the road. Shops are easy to walk to, yet it still feels you're in the gorgeous forest. Perfect rooms, and design, and service!
Spa in the indoor/outdoor room.
Wood fire in lounge.
Each cottage far enough away from each other to feel isolated.
Surrounded by trees and greenery.
Cosy / romantic feel to the cottage.
Breakfast and snacks complimentary and especially catered to vegan diet.
Great staff. Welcoming, friendly, accommodating and helpful.
Kathy and Wally did everything possible to make my stay comfortable. They were very careful with my food requests and added some thoughtful additions too. The cottage is warm and welcoming and perfectly located for easy access to all the attractions of the Dandenongs.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage, as it's immersed in a beautiful natural environment. It was wonderful to have peace, ( absolute) and listen to the wildlife around us
Loved the fresh bakery bread delivered to our door. Such a thoughtful surprise.
The cottage was self contained all cooking facilities were available to use.
Comfortable king size bed ,large bathroom with spa very good hamper for breakfast. Cosy fireplace with a glass of port.
Friendly and helpful staff .
Staff is very nice. Bed is absolutely comfy. Love the themed room, it is quaint and felt the old fashioned vibe. It is perfectly located right across the places we wish to visit in Olinda. The tub is the highlight of our stay.
This is the second time my lady and I have stayed at the rocky creek B and B. It's our favourite place to visit. The fire the space the forest and the householders that welcomed us to the place. Very welcoming and homely.
Location was excellent. Setting was very nice. Cottage was charming, but with a stylish, modern twist. We made use of the cast iron fire place, which created a cosy atmosphere. Had our little dog with us. We loved it.
the Location in Olinda so close to shops and most other attractions in the Dandenongs is fantastic and the breakfast was plenty with a huge variety of things to choose from. We absolutely loved our 2 night stay.
The Olinda area is beautiful. The cottage is filled with high quality furniture and appliances and is very comfortable to live in. It felt like home. The welcome pack was appreciated after along journey.
Location excellent in heart of Olinda.. walked to seasons at cloud hill for breakfast.. a must do …20min walk.amenities were good …equipment such as microwave and washer/ dryer excellent.
Betty was warm and helpful, the place was spacious, luxurious and clean. Amazing views from the balcony and so much food and drink provided! Would definitely go back!
