Very cute little town to explore for a weekend. All local eateries had friendly staff and delicious food. Couple of nice gift shops to explore and amazing river location for a casual walk along. I'd definitely return to The Bronte Boutique Hotel again- the loft option was very modern and new furnishings, while being self contained for a perfect private getaway either on your own or as a couple.

Boutique shops & restored buikdings make it a pleasant stopover. Very good pub food was a bonus. Indian restaurant in a old sandstone building was very nice and they served excellent pizzas as a bonus

A very nice country town that is ready to welcome tourists with cafes, bakeries and museums. Take the time to stroll along the main street and the residential area too. There's also a boat ramp to launch your watercraft on to the picturesque Hunter River.

Some interesting dress shops and jewellery shops for the ladies. A number of good places to eat or just get a nice coffee. The crepe shop and the pizza / Indian restaurant I would recommend for a meal. Interesting old architecture and the Christmas shop is fabulous if you visit in Nov -December.

Maybe let the locals enjoy their January holidays and holiday elsewhere, not much was open and we had to travel out of Morpeth for eating out options. But the locals we did encounter were friendly & welcoming.
