This was a very comfortable historic cottage . Our hosts have preserved much of its history but also ensured guests are very comfortable. As far as I was concerned the attention to detail re our comfort was the best I have ever encountered. We enjoyed meeting our hosts who were very welcoming. It was close to interesting beaches and small coastal villages. We were close to drive into Victor Harbour and Port Elliot which had more to see but liked retreating to the quiet of Encounter Bay.AnnAustralia - 10Scored 10

Benny's Beach House in Encounter Bay was one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed in and as a well seasoned traveller, that's saying a lot! Our host Suzie, made this the most delightful stay. Checking in, on a 40 degree day and walking into an air-conditioning villa with little chocolates awaiting us for our welcome, was a delight my daughters and I really appreciated. Encounter Bay is such a beautiful place and our view of the ocean was perfect! Lovely beach walks and less touristy than some of the other beaches, it made for a really special get away! A delightful little cottage awaits with almost everything...
A delightful little cottage awaits with almost everything your need for a trouble free stay. Decor was clean, light and airy with a welcoming atmosphere. All amenities were provided including towels, sheets and cooking items, a small selection of videos & DVDs as well as books. Had some lovely little touches including the decanter of port and good quality toilet paper plus electric blankets for cold nights. Both the bed mattresses needed to be firmer with better lumbar support and the TV was very glitchy making me wonder if the antennae and/or TV needed updating or replacing? There was no WiFi.

A lovely beach side environment with a walking / cycling path along the foreshore. Plenty of seats dotted along to sit and soak up the atmosphere. Beautiful view and lovely food at the Whalers Inn.

Great views, good location.
Great views, good location. If you like scenery as I do this is a good spot. It accommodates many ppl. The bad. At the time i stayed the hot water in the shower did not work at all. No air conditioners were working. Light switches are random configurations and some lights dont work. There was also no cleaning products available that we could find.LoiAustralia - 10Scored 10
Granite Island And the Bluff
Granite Island And the Bluff Ensure you wear appropriate shoes for hiking, climbing,walking !, Encounter bay is a clean & neat town . Very quiet at the moment due to our world health pandemic . Would have loved to spent time browsing
