A very nice place to stay. Provided everything we needed. Thoughtful provisions were ready for us on checkin. Plenty of room, full kitchen and a rural location. Nice and peaceful.

The Manager’s Cottage is located in the Huon Valley at Grove, approximately 30 minutes south of Hobart.  The iconic Sleeping Beauty and the Wellington range form the backdrop to the light and airy cottage which has been fully renovated while retaining its original character. Wineries, restaurants and cafes are minutes away. The charming villages, national parks and pristine beaches of the area are all within easy reach, making it a perfect base for exploring the Huon Valley.
The Manager's Cottage is in Grove, a small agricultural community and the gateway to the Huon Valley, 30 minutes drive from Hobart. The town of Huonville, with services such as post, banks, fuel, medical, groceries, restaurants and cafes is only 5 minutes away. Willie Smiths Cider House is just across the paddock - a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. Local gourmet experiences are only a short drive to nearby Ranelagh with the award winning Home Hill winery and restaurant, The General Store cafe and Summer Kitchen Bakery. Less than 30 minutes away are the vibrant villages of Cygnet and Franklin. Geeveston, the Tahune Airwalk and the pristine beaches of Dover are less than an hour’s drive south. Further on are the Hastings Caves, Ida Bay Railway and Southport.
