Bagara & Bundaberg are both very pleasant places to stay in.
Bagara & Bundaberg are both very pleasant places to stay in. We were only there for a couple of days, and it rained most of the time. We intend to go again, and this time go to Lady Musgrave Island. As our trip had to be cancelled as the weather was bad & it was too rough. There is a lot to see & do around Bundaberg. It's a very nice & friendly place.
Next time we would like to stay for a week if we can.

We traveled to Bundaburg for the Lady Musgrave Island excursion - that was amazing and completely worth the time. However, the town itself is a bit dated/boring - the only thing we really enjoyed were the bats at dusk.

There is so much fresh produce you can buy direct from the farmers. They sell on market place, when you get there they have an honor system. There is the bundaberg distillery, gin factory and if you want a nice meal you could try the Brothers Sports Club also grunskes restaurant they also sell fresh fish best prawns I've tasted in awhile. Also try the old bundy tavern they have great lunches and a cold beer to wash it down 😉

Great little town, very close to Great Barrier Reef (southern tip of the Reef is less crowded and is the best!) experience and boat to the fabulous Lady Musgrave Island.
Plenty of places to eat and shop.
Loved the trees full of colourful yapping birds in the town centre!

Lived in Bundaberg for many years before moving to the Sunshine coast in 2012 but we still come back too see family and friends as is such a beautiful place, though it is quite sad seeing the amount of homelessness there nowadays 😥 .
Customer service was excellent
Cleaning service was excellent
Plenty of parking
Booking was very easy even when I maxed out withdrawal for the day, they were very understanding and allowed me to pay the following morning.
I booked a room for my uncle and even though they arrived late into Bundaberg they held the room without payment and left spare keys in allocated area for late night pick up I've never encountered that level of trust and service where they'll give you a room and allow you to pay the following day.
This lovely one bedroom unit is perfect for a weekend stay or week long base.
Being outside Bundaberg’s CBD there is very little noise to disturb your evening or a sleep in the next morning.
Everything has been thought of with use made of all the space to provide designated sleep, dining, lounge and bathroom facilities with an outdoor table and chairs on a small deck.
The decor is tastefully arranged.
Our hostess was welcoming and a complimentary breakfast a lovely addition.
I have been here for over a year already. and Everything is great. The hostel is very clean and the staff is really helpful and friendly. I have got a lot of good farm jobs and made a lot of money while staying here. Highly recommend for everyone, especially people who want to enjoy their working holiday. and the rent is very cheap compared with other backpackers in Bundaberg. The backpackers has free wifi and laundary which is very fantastic.
We had the $10 dinner and breakfast and they were great value for money. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a lounge in the room. Self contained and had everything we needed.
Friendly staff.
We returned to Bundaberg after a number of years and the owner (was on reception at the time) went the extra mile looking for a particular spot we wanted to go back to!
The bunks each had plugs light and curtains for privacy almost felt like your own room. Bathroom were nice when clean. We did manage to meet some nice people and explore bundaberg
Unfortunately I was going to hospital for an operation. hotel was close to the hospital & had everything we needed, we were given an upgrade too. nicely fresh renovated room.
We loved the view of the river, the spacious & clean room, the shower pressure, the location of the hotel (in the city centre), the comfortable bed and the friendly staff.
room was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Exterior appearance of the hotel was not welcoming and there were no restaurant facilities available for my stay.
Perfect for an extended family. Everything you could possibly need. Basically set out like a townhouse converted to apartments. Would definitely stay here again!
Clean spacious room with amenities for our overnight stay to visit bundaberg rum
breakfast in restaurant was very good and staff were very friendly and helpful
