It is a very interesting hotel, with innumerable levels of floor and lots of stairs, it looks a bit like an Escher drawing. Room was wide, well furnished, and with a well-appointed bathroom and big shower. All curtains and blinds were electric, and worked. Nice snack tray with reasonable prices. Nespresso machine in room, and also a sofa and a nice TV. The hotel has a large restaurant which looks very pleasant and well attended, but we did not try it. Good breakfast, if a trifle expensive. Location is good for visits to the Citadelle (walkable distance to either the Citadelle uphill or to the cabin lift from the centre). There is some limited parking available, including 3 charging stations for electric cars (which were however ICEd by non-electric cars when we arrived).

Generally unknown gem of a place that is little known outside of Belgium. Really pleasant feel to the place and ocne the renovation works of the citadel are complete then Namur will have had a good overhaul, along with the riverside developments of 3-4 years ago.

Namur seemed fully booked, being a celebration weekend, but we found our stay in Jaumes was in fact perfect for our one night. Close to all amenities and after securely parking the car we spent our time exploring the nearby citadel and riverside. Might have to visit again to see Namur itself!

There's a gondola ride to the citadel where there's a visitor centre and a dotto train. There are boat rides on the river. There's a small park. It's ok for a day, maybe two, not longer.

Beautifull, not too big city with loads of visible history,...
Beautifull, not too big city with loads of visible history, characteristic buildings and architecture dating back to medieval times. A cosy but also mondain historic city center with loads of good bars and restaurants and cultural events. During daytime and summer its widely visited by tourists and one has to be able to accept that. Its logical when a city has that much to offer and is so hospital. Despite the Poor Hotel de Lives we stayed, the people in the city helped us out where we lacked knowledge of french language. A big difference with 30 years ago when peuple du wallon would not speak any other word then their french. Now I met people being proud to also speak dutch AND fair english, which is great when they work in hospitality or restaurants. From here a daytrip to Dinant where the saxophone was invented is worth the trouble as its only a half hr countryside drive. Every N road in belgium is worth roadtripping as there are objects everywhere. The highways are mostly flanked by trees, and often in not a good shape. I call them "launch surface" as on parts of the road 2 of 4 wheels are always detached from the road that bumpy it is. And that is fun but drive carefully and save, to see as much as you can. You can see the city and citadel in a day if you hurry a bit, but 2 nights/3days is perfect if you like to take things easy but want to see it all. It is also the capital of Wallonie, and a perfect base to make diverse trips in any direction, all reachable within half an hour. Brussels, Waterloo, Abbaye Villiers, Dinant, Coal Mines and streetart in Charleroi etcetera. Have fun!

The city has interesting places to visit but we were only there for a night, and after a long journey.
NB staying at the Youth Hospital is very inexpensive and convenient but you need to take your own towel.
The location is excellent. really close to all the tourist sites in Namur. The public spa is really great. my husband and I got very lucky that there were not a lot of people when we use it. Also the fitness was amazing with several options to do your workout. the room is very cozy, we booked the river view room. and during our last night, the fireworks show was very visible from our room. the casino is also an added value.
Martine and Bernard, the extremely friendly couple who run the boat hotel, we’re great and looked out for us. Amazing breakfast (charged separately), very quiet room with no movement despite being in the water. Free parking for the car available just in front. Get a room with a view of the water! Lots of good restaurant recommendations within walking distance.
Our suite proved to be excellent—roomy, pristine, and tastefully designed. The four-course dinner served there was truly outstanding, with a variety of wines perfectly complementing each dish. The interior design of both the suite and the entire hotel was exceptional. We also enjoyed a fantastic massage session and made good use of the spa facilities.
A wonderfully spacious room just a short walk from both the station and the centre of town. A big comfy bed. Well thought out kitchen area. There are loads of power points for chargers and such like. Namur itself is a lovely little town, full of character and not over touristy.
Great spot, though by nature a little far from the centre of town. Getting to town was easy on the cable car, however it stops running at 5pm so then you have to either get a bus or walk up the hill, which is what we opted for! Staff were lovely and we had everything we needed.
Excellent apartment, two double rooms, fully furnished kitchen and living room looking out onto a balcony/back garden.
Parking space with the property.
Shop just down the road.

A chain hotel that is doing stuff right. Location was spot on, close to station & city centre, plenty of shops & eateries nearby. Hotel is new, so room & common areas spotless, staff friendly & helpful. Good breakfast with plenty of options & worth the money.
A fine hotel right across the railway station and a 10 minutes walk from city historical centre. Although at first the building looks old and tired, the room is renovated, spacious and nice. Everyone was very polite and breakfast was nice too!
The owner was very welcoming, we felt very well over there, 4persons, with my 2 kids in one of the room, they really enjoyed it as well.
It is on the first floor and you also have a space to sit and eat, in case you need.
Ideal location in front of the main train station at Namur. Direct access from the train station and suitably connected by walking to the city center. Highly recommended place to stay.
Large, modern, well appointed space in a quiet location but close to the amenities of Namur. Communication from the host was excellent and we thought it was excellent value for money.
The Royal Snail is a comfortable hotel just at the edge of town. The room I had was relatively small but spacious enough. Coffee and tea were provided. Breakfast was simple but nice.
Very good hotel in an historic building beautifully restored. Lots of space in our bedroom and likewise in the bathroom. Excellent breakfast and an overall calm and nice atmosphere.
