I loved where it was. The village was beautiful. I used it as a base to explore the area. The staff were great and welcoming, and the view from the private verandah was exceptional. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. I loved "commuting" to various sights by the local bus and cable cars every morning and evening it handed to the magic of the area.

More or less everything was as it should be. I like the fact that you could cook your own eggs at breakfast and there was a good selection of breads. The staff were all very nice indeed and the hotel was quiet amid beautiful scenery.

Not sure if it was because of the lack of snow, but we found Murren to be quite sleepy. Very few tourists. Appeared to be lots of vacancies in town. Many shops appeared to have shut down for the season. The skiing was actually quite good at elevation throughout the Jungfrau region in spite of the lack of natural snowfall and we of course appreciate the train system to travel throughout the region. The terrain in the region is more beginner/intermediate than we anticipated, though there are some nice steeps if you know where to look. Murren seems to be the more remote place to stay so if traveling to the various resorts via train will annoy you, consider staying in Wengen or Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Mürren was perfect.
Mürren was perfect. The town is quite nice and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed in Grindelwald prior to staying in Mürren and we so glad we made the effort to stay here. Amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet village with easy access to all other locations in the Lauterbrunnen valley. There is not as much open in Murren in the period before the full winter season gets underway. Make sure you make a note of the Murren Bahn timetable.

The valley feels like Yosemite only bigger and more accessible. The town of Murren is at the top of the valley and mountains go up another few thousand feet from there. The whole place is unbelievably scenic.
A lot of things close down in early October, like the funicular train up the mountain..

The owners were very kind and friendly people. They upgraded us to a higher floor with a clear and magnificent view of the 3 great mountains!
The room was spotless and very clean. We had a comfortable stay.
Dinner time, they serve up some delicious traditional and home-cooked swiss food which is one of the best I have had in Switzerland.
On the last day I had a sudden bad back and the owners helped me with my luggages and gave me some painkillers. They even sent well-wishes after we have left.
The location is right in the center of Murren. The breakfast is good, it has all the necessary to fuel yourself before tracking) - sausages, fresh bread, coffee, etc. We had a room with a mountain view, what is really breathtaking!
The important thing is that there are fridge, kettle and microwave on the first floor, that is really come in handy when you are in Switzerland). The Coop is near the hotel.
The atmosphere of hotel is calm and relax, like you are the member of the good old club.
Here's the thing about describing this hotel: Words cannot capture the feeling of serenity you feel mixed with the most fantastic storybook views upon waking up every morning. For sure, it took me decades to get to Switzerland, and I am not only thrilled that this hotel lived up to every expectation but, from where it is in Murren, it ended up being a town filled with some of the most hard-working individuals that truly make you feel like you're a welcome member of this tight community.
The view from our room was beautiful, and the patio was a perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning. The breakfast was the best we had in Switzerland. The vintage charm of the hotel is great, I loved the skeleton key for the room. The shared showers and bathroom were very clean and spacious. We had a question about opening the patio window/door and the staff was prompt in assisting us (it's an ingenious design!). We loved our stay here and can't wait to visit again.
Most amazing view of snowy mountains, beautiful valley below, listening to and watching avalanches in the distance, the charming town of Mürren complete with a light sprinkling of snow before bed. Friendly, helpful staff. It was the best birthday ever as we were greeted for our dinner reservation with complimentary champagne, confetti, & Happy Birthday napkins. Truly a magical experience!
The room was small but perfect for a solo traveler. Great, clean bathroom, large tub/shower combo. Had a balcony with a view to kill for! The breakfast was the best I had during my trip to Europe and the UK where I stayed in a total of 8 different hotels. Friendly, helpful staff. Would happily return to stay for much, much longer.
The Eiger Guesthouse blew us away. This was our first time in Switzerland and it could not have been any better. The room was incredible, the view was breathtaking and the entire staff couldn’t have taken better care of us. We are planning to return during ski season and will definitely be staying there again.
Everything about this hotel is just perfect, we’ve had nothing to miss in it, the view was gorgeous the staff were the nicest, the restaurant food is soo delicious. Everything was to perfection.
Definitely would visit the same hotel if I travel to Murren again.
Switzerland never fails to amaze me and my family especially this lovely place situated in the 'sky' and this hotel helped make this experience even better!
Location is fantastic including the view from your very room's balcony. Breakfast is fantastic too!
Hotel Alpina was in a truly amazing location in Murren (5,500 ft up in the Swiss alps). View from balcony & breakfast/restaurant were stunning. Staff really friendly & helpful. The owner Roger was very personable and gave good advice on where to eat locally.
We loved our stay at Jungfrau Murren! Such a stunning hotel with incredible views over the Swiss alps. Nice, simple rooms with clean facilities and a cute balcony. Enough space for us in the room and storage. Bathroom was clean and had everything we needed.
Christoph is amazing, since the beginning he really gave us the best service
Sara and Ollie are also great, the level of personal service they provide is amazing
The location of the hotel is great, you feel the connection with nature
The town of Murren is a very pleasant place to stay- so nice and relaxing. Lots of hiking trails, the mangers of the hotel are wonderful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable
Double room panorama is highly recommended . The hotel is on the first row of Murren cliffisde, There are no other buildings blocking the view. The balcony is so spacious.
BEST location in Murren....across the street from the train station. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Surprising restaurant with large menu and great food.
