The irrigation system is interesting to see and the "hiking"...
The irrigation system is interesting to see and the "hiking" in the mountains is nice to do and challenging enough for standard people.
Old town is like most of Chinese ancient cities only shops and restaurants one after one and no longer interesting and genuine.
Also, we got confirmation that China is less and less foreigners friendly. Exemple : my wife (Chinese) was in one cloth shop and I was just waiting outside with ombrellas (since it was raining). After a while she asked me to come in to see some skirt she wanted to purchase. I was ask to wear a mask (no problem basically with this) while nodoby else (shop staff and any other clients) was wearing a mask! When my wife asks why me and only me? The answer was because I am a foreigner!!! Knowing that Chinese borders are closed to (most) of foreigners for more than 3 months... it seems that the communication of imported cases to be foreign cases in chinese wording is working quite well and that the virus is then becoming synonymous of foreigners for a part of chinese population. Well done!
By the way, we enjoyed very good and nice sheep BBQ dinner at a Xinjiang restaurant in old town.

The best hotel i have stayed in Si Chuan by far. Front desk staffed by group of vibrant youngsters. The room is extremely clean. The breakfast was a wow factor. Astonishing with huge selections of authentic choices. Above all, there is laundry cleaning and drying services in the hotel that can deliver to your room. The best hotel i have stayed in by far. Definitely value for money.
so far this is the best host and best hotel i've stayed in china. the owner went above and beyond to help me with my transportation to and from the hotel. they also cooked delicious food. the room is very cozy, clean, with good hot shower. there's a lovely front porch with blooming flowers. highly recommend staying here if you visit qingchengshan and panda valley.
One of the best hotels we've been in China, if not the best. The owner was always extremely helpful (he even took us by car to QingChen entrance). The rooms are very cozy and well decorated, beds are great and the ambiance is really chill. Breakfast is also a plus.
