Most exciting place. One week is not enough. Will come again. Xi‘an is more than Terracotta warriors. There are many shows worth to see.
However, the visit to Shanxi Historical Museum is overly complicated as the website is in Chinese and not well organized. Even my Chinese guide did not manage to get me a ticket.

We arrived in Xian after first visiting Beijing.
We arrived in Xian after first visiting Beijing. Personally I like Xian better than Beijing, not only the history but also life around is mor vibrant. In Beijing to much control, to much officials etc. We chose to visit the Terra Cotta army as well as Famen Temple and both visits are a day tour. Unfortunately Pit 4 exhibition is moved from the TC army to another museum. Personally I was always impressed by Pit 4, showing the Bronx chariots etc.
There is much more in Xian, one evening we enjoyed a Tang Dynastie show, had a walk in Muslim Street and visited The Great Mosque.

Terracotta army is of course the top thing to visit in Xi'An. Do not miss the bronze carriages. They are incredible and the museum created just for them is exceptional.
Xi'An is one of the best places we visited in China. The whole town is fantastic. A walk on city walls is unforgettable. Xi'An museum has great exhibits, especially in the underground area. There are a lot of great museums in Xi'An and it is worth spending a few days in this beautiful town.

Thousands of years of history in this vibrant town, with amazing food diversity, mind-blowing tour sites, and a fun attitude. There are lots of shopping opportunities as well with plenty of malls to choose from that feature Chinese and international brands. Don't forget to set your phone up with Alipay or WeChat linked to a credit card so you can easily make purchases or order rides with Didi. Not absolutely necessary but makes things MUCH EASIER (this is generally true for anywhere in China)..

Xi'an has a long history and is of great cultural importance...
Xi'an has a long history and is of great cultural importance in China. There are therefore many historic sites to visit (e.g. the Terracotta Warriors, Giant Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower, City Walls). It also has a large Muslim quarter, which is interesting to wander around. The food is good, and the Muslim quarter has some particularly interesting and tasty dishes. The city is easy to get around. Like most Chinese cities, it has a good metro system that is easy to navigate (everything is in Chinese and English), but the city centre inside the old city walls can be easily explored on foot. The city walls are intact, and you can walk all the way around - another way to see the city! The walls are also surrounded by a moat and very pretty gardens. As well as the historic sites, Xi'an is a thriving modern city, so there are good shopping malls and plenty of nightlife, if that's what you want.

Fascinating ancient city and capital of past Chinese...
Fascinating ancient city and capital of past Chinese dynasties. A eye opening and crash course of the ancient Chinese civilization. A cauldron of different faiths, cultures languages, etc. In addition to the tombs, city gates, city walls, temples, mountains and mosque, etc .. must try out the Han costume and the local food. The experience is definitely memorable and adds a element of fun.
Loction was central, facilities were above expectations, the room was well appointed and felt like a boutique hotel.
Multiple common areas allowed peace and quiet of mingling opportunities.
All staff were pleasant and most helpfull, especially Rachel, she is a great asset to this establishment. The free breakfast was comprehensive and delicious! The fruit bowl, snacks, water bottles and barrista coffee were such special touches.
Complementary evening wine was the cherry on top!
Thanks a million! Daniel for Oz!
The room match my expectations with basic facilities met. It was spacious and just nice for 5 people. There were two toilets as well so we do not have to fight for toilet rights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, when I needed to get food delivery, they have helped to get my app sorted out. There are some eateries opposite the hotel so that is one plus point for those who wants to supper.
The hotel staff were very helpful. Thank you to Ella, Kevin and Clarkson for answering our questions regards nearby places to enjoy the flowers. Esplly to Kevin, who also helped us book the Qinglong Si tickets using his local number.
The lady staff(Ms Wei) preparing our room for check-in also left a very welcoming note on our room table. The Marriot staff exhibits high customer service.
Luxury hotel, equal or superior to some of the finest and most exclusive hotels I've used in France, Germany, Italy, USA and Turkey. Remodeled huge rooms/suites with classic European styling. Much much better than any Sofitel I've ever stayed in. Staff were attentive, polite, and always going out of their way to help. Incredible value. Relatively close to major attractions in the city.
Loved the staff, very helpful. Specially Jason Zhao helped me to clear up the issue of Credit Card double charge.
Clean facilities and very comfortable bed, I am very picky with bed types.
Close to all the Major attractions
Exended my stay by 2 days in Hilton as it was way better than Sofitel.
One of our best stays in China. Very comfortable, nice room. Clean bathroom and room. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Good location, was able to walk to the city wall and also to the good food in the Muslim quarter. Really enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay here again.
Hotel was very new. Rooms design was very nice and the staff was friendly. It was good value for money. Make sure you try the 高炉烧饼 ( saulty pancake) for breakfast in one of the small restaurants close to the hotel.
It was a very nice stay, and all the staff were all very kind and helpful. The hotel is located in a convenient area, full of restaurants, and close to some attractions. I would definetely stay there again!
The environment is very warm and cozy. The bathroom has towel warmer which seldom seen in China. Has drink and snack in evening time. The room has projector which you are able to cast from phone or table.
Location is terrific, heaps around on the street the hotel is on. Small food places. Breakfast is terrific and staff are nice. Room was really good and taken care of, like the interior very much.
My room had a spectacular view of the wall and gate. In the morning there was a little show. The hotel was near subway and near nice street food markets. Room was clean and comfortable.
Loved this hotel! It was peaceful, clean, modern and the staff was very attentive to customer’s comfort. The breakfast was exceptional!
If I’ll go back to Xi’an, I’ll stay here again!
This is my second time in this hotel and it always lives up to my expectations. The location couldn’t be better, it is also very clean and the restaurant has a good range of food.
