I stayed for five nights and everything went well. The people who work here are extremely helpful. They even came to pick me up when my bus arrived because it was raining so hard and there were no taxis available. I. would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed, clean and quiet room, close to everything. There is a restaurant working in the accomodation. They kindly stored our backpacks for a half day after check-out. Great value for money.

I just loved everything about this place!
First of all, the communication via WhatsApp, even before I got there., was excellent. Johan and his wife responded always promptly and made sure, all needs and wishes were taken care off.
The place is a 20/25 min walking distance from the Pueblo, which I didn’t mind cause the way is really nice ( however a Mototaxi costs only 15000 ps).
The cabin was very quiet, comfortable and cozy, great warm bedding, a heater for cold mornings ,a minibar with cold drinks and snacks, a kettle with teabags , an awesome terrace with an amazing view , and a fireplace for nights with wood !
Breakfast was served on the terrace( the night before you could order your choice ).
I also fell in love with Wauwee, the dog, unfortunately can’t remember the other dogs name
From the Glamping you can hike up to the cascada de la virgen., a nice waterfall within 1 hour.
I ve travelled several times in Colombia , and this was definitely my favorite place.
Muchas gracias pot todo , mi estadía con ustedes fue excelente !!

Dora is the loveliest person. Nothing is too much trouble for her guests, and she will go out of her way to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay possible. This is a rural retreat a little way outside of town. We stayed there to experience the Campesino Colombia. You can sit and relax on the sunny patio surrounded by flowers and there were the best views of the Milky Way at night when the sky was clear. Inside there are communal areas to relax and you have shared use of the kitchen for making drinks or food, although Dora often offered to make coffee etc for us anyway! You can walk into beautiful Mongui in 15 mins, but it is quite up and down (Mongui is a town built up a steep hill!). However, if you lack your own transport then Dora will typically offer to take you to or from town. A great experience. We arrived as guests and left as friends.

Mongui is a very nice and authentic little colombian town.
Mongui is a very nice and authentic little colombian town. It receives mainly colombian tourists but it is super interesting for other tourists as well.
The paramo de oceto was one of the most beautiful hikes I ever did in my life (and I did a lot) and I would really recommend Mongui and this trek to anyone travelling around in Colombia. Mongui is easy to reach by bus from Bogota.
The town itself is beautiful and has plenty of nice restaurants and cafés as well as some museums. The people around were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in Mongui is very relaxed.
If you are searching for a more authentic experience in Colombia than for example, Villa de Leyva, I really recommend to spend some days in Mongui.
