The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our cabin clean and comfortable. My highlight the open air bathroom with jungle view. The breakfast was delicious with various choices. We recommend traveling with a backpack, as you have to climb a few steps to reach the accommodation. Minca can be reached in 20 minutes by walking or in 5 minutes by motorcycle cab. Definitely a place I would come back to! :)

SOL DE MINCA NATURAL RESERVE "Your portal to connect with nature": This is the life project of a multicultural family that dedicates its days and focuses its efforts on living in harmony with the land and its communities. Since 2012 we work conserving nature, a mission that is possible thanks to the support of our visitors and the development of an ecological and sustainable tourism.

Property information

CABAÑAS DE TIERRA: Please note that our lodge is located near the road, but within a Nature Reserve, this means that there are many stairs, leading through the forest to the cabins. If you bring heavy suitcases, no problem, let us know in advance we like to do work out in the nature. You can stay in cabins made of earth, sand and mud. This type of natural constructions will make you feel comfortable and in harmony with nature, in a rustic place, original and different from the others.  Our constructions are handmade, handcrafted and based on the principles of bio-construction, using mostly materials that we obtain from the region. The clay is our inspiration and we seek to transform it into art to beautify our constructions.  We have cabins, one and two bedrooms. Our bathrooms are composting (they do not use water). Our showers are ecological and we treat the water with natural systems in which we use plants that clean the water, thereby ensuring a lesser impact on the environment.  The nature reserve is designed under the principles of permaculture, an integrated and holistic design system, applied to the creation of a new culture that can remain in time and space, protecting the environment and energy resources.

Neighbourhood information

Minca is beautiful and small town, but in the center there is usually a lot of movement, noise and parties. We love the tranquility of nature, that is why the distance of 1 km that separates us from the town is perfect, to be in the middle of nature but not in the noise and bustle of the town. But don't worry, we can organize a motorcycle taxi so you can go up to the town, or you can use our beautiful path through the forest, which will help you connect with nature.
