I've stayed at Casa Terra for almost 4 weeks because I went to Intercultura Language School nearby to learn Spanish. I felt very comfortable and at home at Casa Terra. It was always very clean. Also, I enjoyed being surrounded by nature and since it was not on the main road, it was really quiet at night. The walk to the beach is about 8 minutes, the walk downtown around 15 minutes. The volunteers Constance and Carolina as well as the owners were always happy to help with questions and organizing tours and often hung out with us at the hostel. I can fully recommend staying there.

This cozy little hostel let us feel at home as soon as we walked in. Everything is very thoughtful created, designed and well equipped. The 3 owners and the volunteers are very warm hearted and try everything they can to make the stay unforgettable.

Really nice hostel, pretty, a very friendly welcome. There's space to put your stuff, and a locker for each guest. Bathrooms and kitchen are clean, they provide soap and change the towels every day. And I loved the atmosphere: it's really small (12 beds in total, I think), so at least when I was there, everyone got to know each other quickly and people hung out together quite a bit, which makes it a great place for solo travellers.

Beautiful house a short walk from the beach surrounded by trees. Very private location for people who don’t like to stay directly in town centres. Friendly staff, also has a washing machine that you can use for a small fee which was a great touch for a hostel! Friendly staff, 10/10 recommend

Everything was excellent. Staff, location, atmosphere. One of the friendliest places I've stayed. Nice to be on the edge of town away from the bustle with a lovely outdoor space but at the same time a 7 minute walk to the beach and an easy walk into town.

Lovely hostel and definitely the one with the best vibes I have been staying in so far on my trip through Costa Rica. Very warm welcome and I was instantly invited to join the local community (open-minded and very friendly group of locals, emigrants and tourists) on their daily evenings at the beach and other activities. The rooms and the kitchen have everything a backpacker needs. Especially the mattresses and the thick and dark curtains are amazing! I really enjoyed the chilled evenings outside in the common area as well as common cooking sessions. At every time I had someone to ask questions and everybody tried to make my stay the best. Recomendation: 10/10!
