Outstanding staff, helpful, friendly, and very welcoming. Great place within the city center however extremely quiet, you wake up with birds singing in the morning :) Stylish interior, cozy and super clean. The apartments have everything you need. Lots of nice details, such as good coffee, good quality bath soap, a shower radio, and even a laundry. The kitchenette was perfect, I loved the porcelain, and I found and bought the same one before I left. We will definitely stay again and can recommend it highly.

The Boardinghouse August offers you a wonderful retreat, with its private, relaxing back garden in the heart of the Schanzenviertel. Close the door behind you and relax or be a part of the life in the bustling metropolis. Whether your stay is short or long: The Boardinghouse August offers you a home far away from home. Kick off your shoes and enjoy your stay!

Just a few steps from the door, you can feel the urban heart beat of the city. The Schanzenviertel attracts artists, gallery lovers and many forms of creativity. You will find a colorful diversity of cuisine, from French to Asian takeaway along with wonderful fresh fruits or vegetables at the weekly market. The gastronomy and culture is patchwork and there is so much to discover. You will be spoiled with choices. Hamburg is a wonderful city to explore either by walking, bike riding or by public transport. The apartment is well connected to a number of stations in the city including the Alster and the Elbe. Put on your walking shoes … and enjoy your stay. Tip: Just go to the Schanzenviertel on Saturday, opposite the Red Flora. Indulge in one of the many coffee shops and allow yourself to become a part of the pulse, whilst drifting.
