Frieburg im Bresigau is located on the edge of the Black Forest and is a good centre for visiting that area. It also has an interesting old town (with a good range of restaurants) a good public transport system and easy access to the surrounding countryside

Freiburg has so much history and a beautiful shopping district with a lot of restaurants very close to transportation. The food is amazing and it is so easy to get around in Freiburg. The people are so kind and very helpful. It is very important that you remember that all shops are closed on Sundays, with the exception of most restaurants. Be sure to have Euros on hand for this day, as a lot of places do not use credit cards. Check out City Park and get awesome views of the city from the tower, easily located by taking Landwasser to the fourth stop at Am Bischofskreuz. It's behind the Studentensiedlung am Seepark or the "Stussie," which is student housing for Freiburg. You have to try the tea and delights at the Turkish bakery, Sevgin. There are a lot of pubs, restaurants and typical German breweries where everyone can find the original taste of southern Germany. Very good nightlife. It was in the very nice residential area and street parking was restricted to the resident only (a neighbourhood woman came to my car and telling me that we can not park on the street when we trying to find the parking of the hotel). The parking was located behind the hotel so, you might want to park hotel's driveway when you check in. The breakfast was very good. Room was very clean and charming. I would stay again this hotel.
