The room was clean and the breakfast was okay albeit too expensive for the choices (bread rolls, small selection of cold cuts, eggs and yoghurt). The bed was okay but very small.
This hotel offers accommodation in the heart of Hilden, less than a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 13-minute train journey from Düsseldorfs main train station.

Great location. The flat was very clean and comfortable.
A very nice, well taken care of "Bergisches Land"- Town.
A very nice, well taken care of "Bergisches Land"- Town. Lovely streets for walking, dining, and shopping. At the temperatures, which we found, the open air Ice cream parlours, Cafes, Restaurants and all type of snack places were a real great issue, which we frequented with pleasure.
Lots of entertainment. Well preserved old buildings.
All places of recreation and fun are gethered on the 2 parallel main roads. Its rather easy to get round all places of interest "per pedes Apostulorum"
Our Appartment was a nice place, but inadequately equipped and dangerous for a handicapped person, though we had stated our needs. Due to the lay out without of supporting facilities (area bathroom and toilet were unacceptable, all walls glossy and slippery till up to 1.5m from floor level, without of holds around toilet and in shower. I had a serious accident and fell from standing upright onto the toilet-seat, latter broke, and I suffered a serious damage of my hipp- protesis. The Company requests payment of the caused damages. The electrical safety regulations are not fulfilled: distance from plug in sockets till water conducting pipes, etc. do not fulfill the safety distances.
The special items of the booking confirmation turned out to be fairy tales: For disabled person equipped, view of garden and City, quiet street view, the quiet meant; from 5:00h till 23:00h the continuous passage of fire-engines and ambulances with alarm-systems connected in continuous mode below our window to the main traffic road, on all working days.
We never would recommend or visit this Apartment again
The location cannot be matched. It is easy walking distance to the train, bus, and the pedestrian area in Hilden where there were restaurants. The restaurant on site is wonderful, and the staff were so nice. Staff was extremely accommodating. The bathroom was small, but it was newly renovated and very nice. We were there for a wedding, and could walk to the church. Very small European hotel with some quirks, but I would stay again. I liked it.
Excellent location, just in two steps from the city centre. Also it was very easy to get to from the Hilden railway station - 10 min walk. Room was very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Nice bathroom. TV has a few english language channels.
Room was facing court yard and it was very quiet.
The hotel is in a lovely residential area and very clean and included a great breakfast. Maybe it is not as close to the centre of town as some other hotels but I will stay there any time again. My corner room was very comfortable and clean. The shower a bit small but really not a problem.
Am Kronengarten is a modern and generously sized studio apartment in a great location. Positioned in the middle of Hilden, there are shops and restaurants at your doorstep. Keyless entry is a bonus, and secure on- premises parking is available at a small extra charge.
I liked the spacious architecture. Great water pressure in shower. Trendy in house wine bar part of the scene. Owner of hotel very friendly and competent and caring. Liked location right across from rr station w direct access to DUS airport.
Everything was perfect. The hotel was overall very good.Rooms are clean, breakfast was nice and the staff were very nice and all the time helpfull. We will stay here again and again . It is also very near to the train station.
- large underground parking place open until 23:00
- the hotel is nice and adequate for stay, only little imperfections that can be fixed in few minutes (wrong light bulbs in bathroom, paint streaks on door...)
Beautiful hotel that serves amazing breakfast. We took a walk through the city center and the park next to the hotel.
Public transport is also great and we were in Düsseldorf in no time.
The hotel was 30 minutes from the expo center, which was far enough away to get us somewhat less crazy pricing for the Medica conference, but still close enough to travel there by car.
The swimming pool was great! And the hotel was nice and clean, very nicely done. Breakfast was excellent and parking was a big perk. Also the staff was so kind and helpful!
