Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't speak the language well, but this was never an issue. Breakfast was a good variety of foods and plentiful.

We expected a lovely view from our 2nd floor rooms but we only looked put over other rooftops. There is a small lake nearby/behind the establishment but a muddy pathway was not the best way forward. We would not visit Schalkenmehren again.
Nice and clean house very well located, in the upper part of the village, but at walking distance from the shops and restaurants of Schalkenmehren.
The house has a little terrace with very nice views.
The area is ideal to make nice walks with the family or friends. There are very good restaurants in the village as well.
The location of the hotel is pleasantly quiet.
A few minutes walk to restaurants and hiking trails.
The host very kind and helpful, speaks very good English
