We could enjoy an amazing stay and can just recommend the place. Helmut is friendly and helpful (for example picking us at the station, driving us to the "Weltvogelpark" and explaining us a lot of things about the region). The area is perfect for people who like to spend time in nature and there are a lot of animals at the farm. In the village there is a store where you can do shopping until 21.00 pm (by card). The rooms and toilets are clean. There is tea and coffee for free. We definitely would like to come back.

The old train station is approx. 1 km outside of Otersen on the edge of the forest on the former Verden-Walsrode small railway line. "Nice, quiet location: forest - water - heath": this was how the former station economy courted its guests around 1910. At the end of the small train era, however, the station sank into a deep sleep. We continue the old tradition: nature lovers will find relaxation and the 'Sound of Silence' with us. A separate entrance in the side wing leads to the former stable. Where donkeys and goats used to be at home, an idyllic retreat with living room and bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and south-facing terrace was created, to which a large garden and its own forest adjoin. The lavishly modernized apartment is ideal for 2-3 people. For larger groups (up to a total of 7 people) two adjoining guest rooms with bathroom and private entrance can be booked. In summer, our private beach on the Aller invites you to swim and relax. Enjoy your vacation in Otersen, the "Paradise on the (river) Aller" (German TV).
Happiness on earth ... Horse breeding is a tradition in Otersen. Famous Hanoverian stallions from the Celle State Stud once came to Otersen for the breeding season in the spring. Horse breeding has also been practiced at the Alten Bahnhof for decades. Today recreational horses and animal welfare determine the picture. In the immediate vicinity is our modernized stable with spacious outdoor boxes including self-watering and paddock. In summer, the horses enjoy their freedom in the pasture directly on the Aller. For mounted holiday guests there is enough space for "Bed, Box & Breakfast".
The village of Otersen has received multiple awards in national competitions (including "Gold Village"). The village shop operated by the residents themselves with a connected café has a model character. The village is located on the Aller cycle path. From May to October, pedestrians and cyclists cross the river with the solar-powered ferry.
