Zaragoza is a clean and safe city full of history, great restaurants, and cafés and easy transportation. We have been to much of Spain but didn't really know anything about Zaragoza. We booked it on a whim. While fairly close to Madrid I think that it is off the beaten path of English speaking people. We encountered the Spanish language almost exclusively but we had zero problems communicating with the lovely people that we encountered. We adored this beautiful place.

20 minutes from the city center.
20 minutes from the city center. On the face of the hotel it was not appealing, however the interior was clean and pleasant, the staff helpful and polite with the Spanish restaurant a bonus.
Would definitely stay again and for longer

Ancient city with some spectacular architecture.
Ancient city with some spectacular architecture. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Walkable and seemed safe. The Palacio de la Aljafería is a spectacular Mujedar style castle, well worth a visit. Plan on a lot of businesses closing in the afternoon and re-opening in the evening. I would have stayed a little longer to see more of the Roman ruins which are in different places in the old city, but it was a pleasnt one-day stop.

Zaragoza is a great City to visit.
Zaragoza is a great City to visit.
Two days are enough to see all.
If you are staying longer, consider hiring a car and undertaking a day trip north to Alquezar for one day and south to the 'Monasterio de Piedra' on another.

Lovely Islamic-era palace, though probably not as impressive as those further south, which I've yet to visit. Interesting Roman ruins. Views of old Zaragotha are great if you cross the bridge to the more modern half of the city.
Not too touristy; some good and reasonably-priced cafes and restaurants and mouth-watering food market.
Running out of things to do after than 2-3 days - though it's not a bad place to sit in a square and read.

I spent three days in Zaragoza and there was plenty to do.
The historic buildings are outstanding, especially the Basilica, which I found myself visiting again and again. It's scale and grandeur are truly remarkable. There's a very large park which is beautiful and varied, and connected to the park is an extensive forest with nature trails.....great for walking adventures.
I'd recommend visiting in mid March as the city celebrates the french siege of 1808 with a spectacular reenactment in the streets.
The zaragozans are such nice friendly people and the evening city life is wonderful.
I've been to several Spanish cities and Zaragoza is my favourite.
This is the worst accomodation in all of Spain and possibly all of Europe. It would be better to be homeless than stay here, it is a shame and an embarrassment to Spain that this place exists.
The staff are the worst possible people. If you want to be treated like a slave who is absolutely worthless than stay here becuase the staff are that bad. They do not care how poorly they treat you or how unhappy you are. The other reviews of this place show the exact same thing.
Save your money and sleep on the street rather than this place.
Where to begin? We spent a month moving around Spain and we found this flat to be among our very favorites. It is very large and immaculately clean. There were three sets of French doors that opened onto small terraces. It is a busy neighborhood so convenient to absolutely everything. We would rush right back to this place again and again. Zaragoza is such a fantastic city and this flat is in the center of it all. We recommend this place to everyone.
No breakfast included, but a small cafe was adjacent to the hotel. Location was as desired. Close to both terminals of transportation. The shower head was easy to operate. The water at the shower head was was more than hot enough to take a hot shower. Towels were clean and seemed new. The whole room seemed new or well maintained and clean. No noise from cars, buses, motorcycles or people. Small cafes nearby.
Hotel is small, has really beautiful halls. It's old.Room was average, but clean. Breakfast is average, but for ~5€ it's ok. Stuff is helpful, I left my luggage after check out, which was important. Perfect location, near all touristic sights, supermarkets and cafes. You got what u pay for,it's 3 star hotel, not 5.
bed was massive and very comfortable, the room was clean and of a good size. staff were very helpful and polite. we were travelling from south of Spain to catch a ferry in Bilbao so good location. we have stayed at this hotel a number of times on our travels and i'm sure we will stay here again
The room was fair enough made as all spanish buildings so you can have the real feeling of living in Spain. It has its own bathroom with towels, toilet papers and soaps. The staff truned on the heating in the night when it was raining. The location of hostal is perfect 10/10.
Everything! Our favorite hotel in Zaragoza. The staff, location, facilities, rooms, restaurant, and cleanliness is great. Top notch. We left our phone charger in the room and the cleaner turned it in at the desk so we were able to get it the next day! Love this place
This hotel is wonderfully situated in the center of Zaragoza, quite near some of the greatest attractions of the city, including the spectacular Church of Senora del Pilar, the old Cathedral, the Great Plaza built on top of the Roman forum, and the Ebro River.
Santiago met us at our cab and escorted us to the apartment for a quick tour and to share some helpful local info. Nice apartment in the center of Zaragoza. Close to everything needed, public transport/sites/restaurants/grocery store. Thank you, Santiago!
We have stayed in this hotel previously and find it is a good transition hotel whilst driving to other regions of Spain. We had an excellent breakfast and good evening meal. The room facilities were very large and comfortable and the staff were excellent.
well above our expectations.tea and coffee in bedroom, huge
e room 40sqm,great breakfast if you are just travelling north to south in spain a great budget hotel. we parked on the street no problem, great helpfull staff.will stay again. great wifi
Excellent hosts, they mad sure we knew where to visit and eat. The views from the patio were outstanding and we enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the attractions. best booking we have had in all of our month long visit to Spain!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful hotel that melds historic with modern elegance. One of the loveliest hotels we stayed at in Spain. Our room opened onto the square. Fabulous location that was a short walk to everything in the old town.
The location is perfect for North South travel in Eastern Spain. 5 minutes from the A23 to Valencia. We ate dinner and breakfast there, both excellent food and value. The hotel was very clean and well maintained.
Good hotel in the center of zaragoza. Nice is that there is a garage under the hotel. So when you are traveling with a car it is very convenient. The breakfast is sufficient and the rooms were spacious.
Very handy location when needing a break travelling from North to South East Spain. Last time we booked a place n the middle of Zaragoza and navigating and parking a big SUV was not fun.
One night stop over on a motorcycle tour if Spain so fitted in well with our plans. Location was good … we parked the bike and got the tram into the old town and had a great afternoon.
