Nice location, very peaceful overlooking the golf course, but you need a car to visit the beaches and restaurants. The drive from the motorway to the house is a bit scary especially at night. Once inside Salobre there are seven speed bumps to navigate before reaching the house and this becomes a nuisance. The beach areas, bars and restaurants are for mass tourism and some might find this ugly. On the plus side the sunshine was fantastic. Finally the next door neighbour was banging and drilling a bit to often and when we read previous reviews we noticed that he has been doing these renovations for a long time.

Even for non golfers the place was so relaxing with a huge area for long walks. Don't think it would be a holiday destination for a family. Smallest villas are two bed but furnished with double and twin rather than two doubles which I think would be better. There really are no activities for young children other than the pools at the villas or the larger open to all ones also within the complex.

Very large efficiently run hotel off the beaten track. Ideal if you just want to play golf and use the spa. Unless you have a car, make sure you book half board as the hotel is a 20 minute drive from the nearest beach resort with restaurants.

Salobe is very peaceful , upmarket and well kept.
Salobe is very peaceful , upmarket and well kept. There is some building work on going to build new villas as infill - it did not disturb us. A car is absolutely necessary as it is probably 15 mins away from any facilities other than an onsite restaurant - very good but expensive - and a small convenience store

Super experience at Salobre Hotel - go! A special thanks to the nice staff (Patricia, Adam, Fran and Cico) We enjoyed the resort a lot and also rented a car one day to go and see Mogán. That was a nice trip but you can also just use the transfer bus for free that the hotel offers.MalinaDenmark - 10Scored 10

I liked the friendly staff that made you feel so welcome as soon as you entered the hotel. I lady which ran the yoga and mediatation classes, which were all included in the price of the hotel, was so lovely. The room was lovely and clean and spacious, the views from the balcony and roof top swimming pool were amazing. The hotel laid on buses to take you to the beach or shopping and they ran regularly and were free. They even had there own beach stop which had lockers in and they gave out free towels to use on the beach. This holiday exceeded my expectations and I would love to go back in the future for another holiday.

The terrace a brilliant sun trap, the pool was lovely (we had it heated which was the right decision) and the outdoor areas well landscaped. The beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi very reliable and the sheltered parking space was much appreciated. Frank was a brilliant host too - great communication and very friendly. Villa is within Salobre golf resort which offers a safe and relaxed area for families. At the resort entrance, 1 mile from the property, is a spar shop and nice restaurant. Taxis are easy to book and arrive quickly, a journey into Maspalomas will be around €15. Our hosts were very friendly and met us on arrival, they were on hand immediately throughout our stay to answer any questions we may have had.AndrewUnited Kingdom

All amenities are in good working condition. The drive to Maspalomas is nothing to talk about and shopping for groceries a breeze. Monte Cristo de Gran Canaria is just a couple kilometers away and it is an absolutely must-see. Go for lunch or dinner. Make sure you make reservations ahead.
