Disappointed about the wifi but we didn't read the amenities of the apartment correctly. It didn't really matter though because and in fact the local bistro just outside of our building had free wifi. The host Anne Marie was very friendly and welcoming and she came to check the apartment and see us off when we left. She was very helpful with local knowledge and was the perfect host. The view was amazing and we could see all the way along the board walk. We would certanly book there again.

A town almost entirely built from scratch from the 1960s onwards, Cap d'Agde has nevertheless colour and character -- much more than similar "new resorts" along the French Mediterranean coast. The port is lively, and offers a range of reasonably-priced boat trips, from mini-cruises around the local coastline and out to the old prison-fort in the bay in a glass-bottomed boat to a day of dolphin-watching -- if the dolphins turn up. The shops along the quay appear at first sight to offer the usual sea-side tat, but on closer inspection have quite good quality holiday wear -- well-cut men's shorts, high-grade cotton summer shirts and women's cotton dresses for warm evenings. Here the prices are closer to what might be expected in inland towns but there are certainly plenty of bargains.
The town has been planned in the style of an old fishing village, with small alleyways and stairs linking its several levels, and is well worth exploring. on the edge of the main area is an appealing conference and art exhibition centre, and in a grove of pines an excellent small museum focussed around Greek and Roman relics recovered from ancient wrecks offshore.
Back to the port: there seems to be a lack of good restaurants. Too many pizzerias and almost none serving locally-caught fish. The portside bar-lounges seem not to care too much to have your custom or not, but one good place to stop by for lunch-time drinks, people-watching and freshly-cooked and copious tapas is the Carre Rouge just opposite the spot where the cruises board. The staff there were welcoming and the service prompt on both occasions we dropped by.
There are large car parks all around the centre of town.

We have known the area for over 25 years, including having our own appartment for 17. It is a lower cost area along the south coast of France but just as pleasant.
You have the beaches,(textile or naturist), good bars, restaurants at all price breaks. Taxi a little expensive but the local bus service only €1 per trip.

Ours was a 1 night stay en route to Spain.
Ours was a 1 night stay en route to Spain. It was in the middle of December, the weather was chilly, windy and grey and the town felt 'dead'. We could find nowhere to eat other than driving out to the SuperU to either McDonalds or Crescendo.
The town may be better in the Summer but we won't be trying it again.

We have come many times to Cap D’Adge each of which has been exceptional Appart from this one night on the boat from hell. Cap D’Adge naturist village is without doubt a unique experience that in my opinion everyone should experience in their lifetime.
But please, please do yourself a favour and don’t stay on Thetys sete boat in Port Nature within the Village Naturist
A friendly, helpful, quiet, family-run hotel with a large room and bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable, cleaning was excellent, and on the rare occasions it was needed, the air conditioning was silent. On request, a beach parasol was lent to me free-of-charge, which was a nice personal touch. Although within easy walking distance of the centre of Cap d'Agde, I hired a bicycle from a third party, which gave a wide choice of beaches, restaurants, shops etc. within a few minutes' ride on the network of cycle tracks.
The heated pool is a great feature. The rooms are small but met our needs. The beds were basic but comfortable. The place is very clean and very secure with security keypads to enter the premises in the evenings and at nighttime. The price was very reasonable and the hotel met my expectations. I would recommend it. I would skip the breakfast as there's a lovely bakery within walking distance and there is a kitchenette in the rooms so you have the flexibility to get a bigger selection.
Enjoy!
We had a great stay here the hotel is within the naturist complex so you have access to the nudist village & beaches. The hotel is also a “lifestyle” hotel where amorous play by the pool isn’t discouraged.
The pool was brilliant, nicely heated and had lounge bags to sunbathe on in the pool. The jacuzzi is also heated like a bath & can be used at night also.
Friendly people. French speaking owners and we are English therefore language a little difficult but we speak some French so we overcame it. Immaculately looked after and room comfortable with window you can open which was nice. We used the tourism office very near to hotel to find out more info of area and where t9 get bus and train etc.
The place was in an ideal location for the shortest walk to the naturist village beach. There was enough space for 2-3 people comfortably as there is a small sofa in addition to a bed that sleeps two. The view from the terrace was really nice into the village and you could see the a portion of the sea.
We stayed here as a stop over and really enjoyed it. A different experience than a standard hotel room, but we really liked it. The owners were also very friendly and flexible with the check in and out. Furthermore the boat was nicely located close to a pretty beach area. Thank you for the stay!
The hotel staff are amazing- mind-readers and so helpful especially Christine who constantly checked that everyone was happy and welcomed. Wonderful facilities also and may possibly be top contender to book longer next time.
The staff were so friendly .The atmosphere in the hotel was so cozy and comfortable .i liked everything about this place and this hotel and would like to visit it again and again and again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
good location, good rooftop, good breakfast, poor room, worst mattress ever. Is not a 5* hotel, is good 3 or poor 4 but never a 5. location is a blast, super close to everywhere
Great small hotel with a wonderful staff, be sure to book a sea view room. Fantastic location to enjoy nearby beaches and restaurants and the walk along the cliffs is stunning.
The location is great for the Naturist Village. It’s quiet and away from the main party scene. It has a parking spot. The host was responsive and nice.
