Great, peaceful and stunning location - close to busy...
Great, peaceful and stunning location - close to busy Arcachon -20 minutes bike . Fantastic view across the bay to Cap Ferret . We used the free bicycles from our hotel to get around everywhere on separate , safe cycle paths . We stayed in September which is a perfect time of year as the summer crowds had left . I imagine the experience would not have been the same if packed with crowds of people

This is an incredibly beautiful place. Approaching the dune from the side of the forest, it became clear why all the French nodded approvingly during our trip, when we said that we would spend the night in Pyla-sur-Mer.

The place is unique, with views on the Dune de Pilat and sunsets to remember forever. The staff is so friendly and professional , the room is decorated hy Starck, so what else to expect than modern and sexy and beautiful. They even made a toy for my dog with her name on it! Details in this place are taken care to perfection. Nice breakfast also. You should also have dinner there, basically is the place to be in Arcachon.

Great to stay in a traditional south-west France house as opposed to a modern, no atmosphere chain hotel... Only one regret that we could not try the restaurant which is closed on Sundays. The ideal night would have been to stay on a Friday to benefit from the Fridays' jazz concerts in the approprietly designed and comfortable restaurant. Very helpful and efficient staff.
