Matlock Bath is such a beautiful place , the views, the walks, and a lovely restaurant called The Seafood Cave and Grill. The food here was omg so fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend this restaurant, not cheap but worth a visit. Some of the other local pubs ran out of food on a Saturday afternoon which baffled us to be honest? There are a lot of things to do in the area and lots of lovely countryside to walk in. Wirksworth and Ashbourne and Cromford are great places to visit. Dovedale, Chatsworth and Bakewell are not far away either and Carsington Water is only a 15 minute drive.

The Peak District is gorgeous, stunning countryside Well worth visiting. We went to Dovedale which was amazing, We stayed in Matlock and ate at the local Italian restaurant in town, which was good and reasonably priced.

Close to all shops pubs etc easy to park up own parking place FREE , pubs nice food expensive, Chinese take away Cantonese Wok not nice. We walked to get cable car at £28 + EACH not worth that money ever HONEST nice ride up to top of hill 5 min ride to top and same coming down 5 mins for the money its wrong.AndyUnited Kingdom

The bathroom was huge ... it had a walk in shower and beautiful roll top bath, complete with candles! Everything was impeccably clean and very welcoming.. The breakfast was perfect, my partner had the full English twice and it was cooked beautifully. We also had a selection of fruits and natural yoghurt which again was fresh and lovely. The dining room over looking the valley and the views were amazing. Would highly recommend a stay with Sue and Dave .. both super welcoming and super lovely :)AbbyUnited Kingdom

Our room was a little small but with two Velux windows it was very pretty and really nice shower and bathroom.The bed was comfy and perfect pillows 🥰 . We had a few drinks in the bar and everywhere is very clean and well decorated. We had the continental breakfast and there was plenty of choices and it was a nice area to eat in. Room was clean and serviced daily and had everything needed for a standard bedroom. Staff seemed pleasant and helpful. Restaurant staff were quite attentive and helpful. Hotel is not far from train station and within good proximity to the main attractions in Matlock Bath I.e The Heights of Abraham, Matlock Aquarium , shops e.t.c. The lido was the icing on the cake for me. Enjoyed the swimming pool + very warm reception at the lido.

The pub is situated just off the town centre but is only a 5 minute walk away.from all the shops, pubs & restaurants. There are lots of walks from the town and there is no need to take the car out if you fancy a day off driving. The staff are friendly and welcoming which adds to the experience. A few hills that require actual hiking to get up and down them however, worth it when Matlock Bath is down at the bottom (you can also leave in car and return if you can't be bothered with walking). The station is even closer if you want to go to Matlock Bath to experience the Heights of Abraham or Cromford for the Mill complex. Arrive by train or bus to Matlock Bath and the cable car is discounted. This is a quiet location with welcoming hosts who provide a marvellous breakfast to order.
