Close to the train station. Abt 4 mins. Then abt 25min walk to The Baths Hall Theatre. Near to a Wetherspoons pub on the way. Called the Blue Bell Inn. Lovely food & staff. Great place. Heater in the room. Plenty of buses. Near a great museum.

This is not a place to go for a pleasure trip.
This is not a place to go for a pleasure trip. We went to the Baths Hall to see a ballet and we were surprised how good the venue was. We had been a little worried as to what it would be like but we wanted to go to the ballet so took a chance! We would go to that venue again. We had dinner at The Imperial Palace Cantonese restaurant near the Baths Hall and the meal was plentiful and good. I would suggest that there is little of real interest to see in Scunthorpe.

I am originally from the Scunthorpe area (now live in West Yorks), so I am a little biased in praising it, especially as Scunthorpe is always the butt of jokes, it's not actually a bad place to stay/Live. Normanby Hall is worth a visit, and the small village of Alkborough which is 10 miles away which overlooks the Ouse and Humber and has an original Labyrinth and a cafe is worth a visit. The Humber Bridge isnt far away and also worth a visit. Scunthorpe Baths has bands/dances/turns on. There are also plenty of bars and a Wetherspoons
The Hotel staff were brilliant from arrival. Nothing was a problem.. The room was fantastic large Clean The bathroom was super ..Tea tray in the room with bottled water biscuits etc .prefect.
We didn't go for lunch as very tired however we did book breakfast it was lovely most enjoyable. The restaurant/bar is beautiful. We will definitely be back a big WOW from us .
The staff are amazing this is my second time staying there whilst visiting somebody (who also stayed at the hotel with me) and all staff that we spoke to were very friendly and were happy to help with anything, The property is also situated right next to Sainsbury’s which comes in handy if you need anything as well as only being a walk down the road from town centre.
It was my second stay at your B&B in a 3 year period, the first stay was not brilliant due to no fault of the owners but tenants. this stay was completely different. the room i got for my money was way over what i expected. excellent value for money and will certainly use this facility when staying in Scunthorpe.
Breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient. It was our second visit to the hotel and was our venue of choice for the family meal. The meal was excellent and enjoyed by all the family.
The hotel is central for the family and there is ample parking.
Beautiful room with the most amazing copper tub! We loved the spa (the milk bath was a very fun experience) and the breakfast was generous. The house and gardens were beyond expectations. We even had a great night sleep - so peaceful outside of town. Hope to come back soon!
The location was perfect and the rooms were much nicer than expected. The beds were comfortable and there was everything you would need. Plenty of option for breakfast and bottles of water provided. The decor of the rooms and the hotel in general was really nice.
The cleaners & breakfast staff were friendly & warm. The front desk staff were adequate but I didn't feel a great vibe especially when I first arrived. Yeah, they know their job, but do they really value the people who come & stay at their hotel?
Lovely room. Clean and comfortable. Homely atmosphere. Tastefully decorated.
Yvette the owner is friendly and helpful.
When I travel to Scunthorpe on business Larchwood is the only hotel I stay at. I have never been disappointed.
Easy check in. The room was clean and tidy with clean towels and toiletries. Easy access to town centre. We parked in the carpark directly infront of the hotel with free parking from 6pm till 8am.
This hotel was excellent in every way. Our room was immaculate, staff were outstanding and a great location to all the bars and shops. We will definitely be returning.
Need saucepans and updated toilet roll also towels also full big breakfast.... expand price hotel ...less refunds
