Clare Cottage is situated centrally within easy walking distance of the Saxon town of Sherborne, Dorset, and is perfectly placed for the shops, restaurants, award winning pubs, markets, and the magnificent Abbey which dates back to 705. This beautiful town has many wonders to see among them this small but delightful museum with unique medieval wall paintings and a fossil collection. Dorset is full of beautiful National Trust properties waiting to be discovered, and a very informative Tourist office. The Jurassic coast is a 40 minute drive away with many wonders to see and some wonderful walks. For children there is anything from Steam Trains, Monkey world, Oceanarium at Bournemouth, Abbotsbury Swannery, Poole Harbour Cruises, Adventure Wonderland and many more. The train station which comes from London Waterloo is only a 6 minute walk away from my cottage, or if you prefer to drive I have free off street parking. I have created a unique experience ...
