Reception staff was very helpful, they agreed to my quite early check-in request on the day and made sure I got a fresh room.

I had an early flight, so didnt sleep.Had breakfast and slept for 2 hours. Comfy bed, but a bit too soft. Breakfast was nice, but the buffet/ table service combination leaves guests hopping up for everything you need. I overheard a male waiter repeating how I wanted my food, as if I was being demanding. Hotels are a service industry, you give the customer what they ask for without making an issue of it! If a customer asks for something they forgot, don't tell them to go get it yourself!

The room was comfortable, warm and clean. The shower and bath were great. The location was really convenient for a Sainburys supermarket if you needed bits and equally great for the Grassmarket area...in fact it was brilliantly located for everything really. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on food/service or anything like that but all members of the team we encountered were really friendly, helpful and efficient. Would stay again

The breakfast was good. Just a little thing. As far as I know, people don't take boiled potatoes for breakfast. Hash brownies, yes - but not boiled potatoes.

The place was very well situated, we could walk to all interesting places. We had as a family 2 rooms next to each other, very secluded which was good. Peaceful area. Nice staff.

The room was comfortable, cozy and well-equipped, the bathroom was big and clean, the breakfast was delicious with a typical English breakfast option and other things as well. The hotel is located in a good and calm neighborhood, with several bus station within 2-3 minutes walk. Definitely recommended for a few days stay.

Very good location just 10min walk to the Castle and the Royal Mile. It was easy to walk to all the sites with no issues. The room was larger than I expected with plenty of space for my family. All was good.

The location of the hotel was ideal for us. It was an 8 minute stroll to the Grassmarket area and a 15 minutes stroll to Princes Street. We were upgraded to an executive king room which was amazing surprise. The room was exceptional for a 3* hotel, we had double aspect windows, a huge comfortable bed, robes and slippers, a minifridge with free water and snacks which we were encouraged to use as it would be restocked each morning. There was a bath and a shower in the spotless bathroom. Even though the hotel is on a busy road, there was no noise from the road or from the other rooms. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly and kept our luggage safe for us on arrival and departure. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget as it is really great value for money, clean, central and the staff are great.
