A big wow to the lodge !!! Everything was perfect , the place was very clean. Everything was prepared for us before our arrival . When you are entering the place it's like you are atr home. The shower is very good , hot but you just need to find the right temperature. The kitchen is very useful , easy to find anything that you need for. The bedrooms are big enough and very quiet. Lots of space to put your clothes. The place is very well maintained The most important part is the quietness of the place , no noise , no plane, no car ect... If you want to relax it's the PERFECT PLACE !!! You can walk around if you like nature , forest ... The next village Beauly is at 10 min drive very useful ... It was the perfect holiday Thank you Ed we will definitely come back

The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The setting is idyllic. I brought my 83yr old mum for a well earned rest. She loved it, we didn't want to come home. The lovely town of beauly is only a short drive away or Inverness 30mins away. I would highly recommend the lodge if you want a peaceful holiday.

Is position almost on top of a hill .The birdies and birdfeeder ( bring some seed and fat ball) so many from wrens and coal tits up to Phillip the pheasant ,even a raven !! Hot water dishwasher clean white sheets .Its small but you can see that from the pictures ,perfect for two people . The night sky is amazing as no light pollution ,Walk up the hill and left for spectacular veiws and sunsets . 10 mins from town ,excellent baker and butcher .Co op petrol postoffice all in town plus the launderette at the petrol station . Easy access to noth west and east coasts .Go to Syke see the outer Hebridies across the water ….

I loved how remote the lodge was. It wasn't completely in the middle of nowhere, but it also felt very quiet and cosy. There was a house next door but we rarely saw anyone. We loved the sofa because it was extremely comfortable and we could watch the birds from it. Ed thought of everything which made our stay perfect. He was friendly and a great host. The beds were comfy, the lodge was clean and we had everything that we needed! There were lights outside the bedrooms and in the wardrobes which came on automatically when you walk past, which was really handy when getting up in the middle of the night. The views from the lodge were lovely, you're surrounded by trees and can see into the highlands if you walk up a bit. We also enjoyed driving into Beauly and going to some of the cafes. We loved the 'corner on the square'; they did fantastic coffee, pastries and fresh fruit and veg. We'd definitely come back to Highland Lodge!

We loved the location which was peaceful but not completely isolated, shops and Beauly centre were close by for all our needs. We especially loved the fact there are walks starting behind the lodge and many others a short drive away. We spent a week, alternating walks close by with longer trips to Loch Ness and Skye. Even when the weather was not so great the view from the windows was breath-taking, although we only had one rainy day proper. The lodge itself is very comfortable and extremely well equipped (a little torch by the door made my husband fall head over heels). It is also very warm - we worried about this initially due to the unusually cold April weather on our way to the lodge. Our reward was an Easter weekend so filled with gentle Scottish sun, we did not want to leave.

Lovely lodge with everything you need. Rural area with lots of nature and farm life around us. When we arrived there were a couple of things already there, like tea, toilet paper, salt and pepper and bird seeds. I especially liked the bird feeder very much, which also attracts a pheasant couple. We had to work a few days remotely, the internet was surprisingly fast. Enjoyed the view from the living room/open plan kitchen. Would definitely book again.

I liked especially the tranquility and peace of the little house or wooden cabin. It is a superb location to relax and enjoy the nature. Especially the birds you can can see and hear a lot of them. Everyday it was a little gift to wake up and enjoy the surrounidings and the comfort of the house. There was an airco, and really needed in the this wooden cabin. I was there in september, also on the hottest day in Scotland and the cabin could get realy hot inside.

Great location and the lodge was well-furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the decking. It was only a short drive to Beauly which has everything you need.
